What I've been watching!

I was re-reading a few of my older posts, and I realized that I start most of them with the word 'So'.

At first I thought this was a problem.

But then I thought, you know.... whatever. Trademark!

SO!

I've started watching Once Upon a Time with Kat.

Quick summary:
The Evil Queen uses her magic to transport everyone from their Fairytale world to the real world. No one, save the queen can remember anything about their past lives.
Only Emma can save them from the curse.

Le trailer!

This is prolly not going to be spoiler free, so continue at your own risk.

HOLY COW! I was not expecting to like it as much as I do. I was expecting it to be average, since out of the three people I know who watch it, two weren't very impressed.

The sillies.

I think it's brilliant.

Wow. I'm a little obsessed. Okay, a lot.

In fact, I only have one problem with it..... See, I usually have a really  hard time with Modern Speak in fantasy. (In my opinion, American accents should not exist in fantasy, since fantasy is set in medieval times, [usually in England] and America wasn't even discovered until the 1400s. So it's inaccurate. Booya!) But in this one, I can overlook it. I think it's because my favorite character can are able to make it sound like Fantasy talk.

I love how the work two different worlds together.

I love seeing how they do fairytale characters so we know who they are, but twist their stories just a wee bit, so it's totally unique. :)

The romances are cute, usually.

And I mostly love the costumes. There are some "hmmm" ones for the ladies. But all  the guys have cool outfits.

I have two favorite characters. Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold, and Prince Charming/David.

Now, before you get all creeped out over Rumpelstiltskin's freakishness and scary makeup... believe me, the guy is a good actor (those of you who've seen Hamish Macbeth will understand.) And there's something oddly likeable about that little weirdo. He giggles funny, has a great accent, and he has a really sad back story.

And he doesn't always look like that.

Now, Prince Charming/David is a brilliant actor. He's such a sweetheart! And he fights like a boss.

He was fighting while holding his baby!!

Snow White I like more in the "real" world rather than in the Fairytale one, because the actress is just a touch too modern when she's in the fairytale world. She's a sweetie though.

I guess I'm not hugely  fond of Emma. She does grow on you, but she's just a little too 'hard' for the role. (I also thought they should have gotten someone who looked twenty-eight rather than thirty-five. But that's just me. :)

The Evil Witch is SO EVIL. Suffice it to say she is mean and awful and steals ALL the happy endings for herself. *scowl* We hates her gutses, we do.

I'm so emotionally involved. Haha! It definitely ranks up there with DW, Sherlock, Psych, and Leverage for me. Or maybe I'm just in the perfect mood to watch it... but right now. Wow.

^^^^^ I LOVE that quote.

You should go find them and watch them.

That is all.

Cheers!

Look! Look! Look!

Look at what arrived!!

My happiness is profound.

Soon, I shall make a Katniss inspired outfit, complete with braid. And I shall wear the bracelet and necklace and go about shooting things. But that is not this day! This day, I can't! Bella tried to get a picture of me with the bracelet.... and this is what she got.

It's awful.
I think I hate it. I'm all cheeks and nose.
*grin*

So, recently, I found these videos.

I find them most amusing indeed. And if you like identical British fellows, you should probably take a look. I can tell them apart, that's how many videos I've watched. I like Finn.

It's irritating how attractive they are. I'm embarrassed I even said that. Urgh, I need to go. I'll just give you a few pictures first.

It's the little things in life we cherish.

And now I must away.

It's late, and the lengthy post I had planned for tonight will not be making an appearance, as it seems to have eloped with my creativity. We're not sure when they shall return, but believe me, when they do, you'll be the first to know. :)

Cheers!

Questions and factses and more questions, oh my!

Hallo, World!!

Jack the Awesome of However Improbable has given me an award. I'm fairly certain it's the Liebster, but I don't know for shizzle :)

Le Rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their site. (THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!)
2. Post 11 random things about yourself. (That is so  much!)
3. Answer 11 questions from the person who tagged you. (Jack's questions are always fun)
4. Ask the people you tag 11 questions. (Making up my own is harder)
5. Nominate 11 other blogs. (I'll see what I can do.)

Le Facts:

1.) I DO have a fun movie/youtube videos post planned. Prepare for the awesome.

2.) I have decided to put off learning how to drive until summer. *sniffle*

3.) It irritates me when people say "I can say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious backwards." Because dociousaliexpilisticfragicalirupes is NOT supercalifragilisticexpialidocious  backwards, it's just saying it mixed up. Hehehehe.

4.) I am watching Tintin right now! Join me, friends, in a rousing jig of happiness.

5.) Ginger Sesame Chicken is my most favoritest meal to make.

6.) I make a killer peanut butter and banana smoothie. So much yum!

7.) I'm so hungry right now, you guys.

8.) I have a scar on my right elbow from a surgery I had when I was nine.

9.) I LOVE baseball.

10.) Tintin's flat just got broken into!!!!

11.) I love puns. Puns are so funny. Here's one to irritate your family with:
What did the peanut say to the walnut?
       I'll cashew later!
       Bahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

Erhem

1. The Doctor shows up and asks you to be his companion at the same time Sherlock asks you to be his blogger. Who'd you pick?
Gosh. Um.... Pro'lly the Doctor. 'Specially if it was Eleven. Sherlock already has a blogger, and I wouldn't be able to handle Sherlock's snarkiness. I love Sherlock and all, but my self-confidence is easily shattered, and I would be in a perpetual state of awkwardness around Our Favorite Consulting Detective.

2. In the great Clara debate, who do YOU think she is. (And if you don't know who Clara is...I've two words for you. No, three. Watch Doctor Who.)
     Uh.... Clara.
I'm not hugely fond of Clara. So I didn't exactly delve into theories of how she's appeared three times in three different timelines so far. (Don't get me wrong, I do  like Clara, but I've only see three episodes, and one was the Asylum of the Daleks.... so I don't know her well yet. And so far, something about her rubs me the wrong way.)  ANYhoo, back to the question.... um. I have no theory. I shall think about it. But I'm really liking Bella's idea.

3. You're falling off a building, which Avenger do you want to save you?
I'm making an effort here and actually choose. (Cheer me on, people, cheer me on.) I'm going to say Iron Man, because I want to know what flying feels like. (I would be one hundred percent, gurglingly happy if Captain America or Hawkeye saved me, though. Those three are my absolute favorite heroes. I can't decide which one of them I like more.)

4. Would you go for a ride in a cold, hot air balloon?
Uuuuuuuuhhhh. Scared of heights. Howevers! If someone fun and hilarious came with me, I'd say yeah.

5. Does your wardrobe lead to Narnia?
No. And believe me, I've checked. The only wood back there is the back of the wardrobe. *sigh* I shall be speaking to Digory about that.

6. You meet an Alien who is about to kill you. Do you offer him a Jelly Baby or run?
Probably run. Or make a high pitched noise and put my epic kickboxing skillz to work. Like, "HIIIIIYAA!" *KickBOOM*

7. If your best friend faked his death to save your life, then popped up a year later to inform you he was still alive, would you faint or punch him?
     Punch him. And cry.

8. Buttered popcorn or plain?
Buttered and salted with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, please.

9. Have you ever had a flip phone in your position and wished to yell, "Beam me up, Scotty!" into it?
Jack, thank you for this question. YES!!! I have actually done  it! My daddy laughed.

10. What is your favouritest book?
Current favouritest? Or favouritest of all time? I don't have a favouritest of all time, too many. However, I'm reading The Thief right now, and so far is pretty freaking awesome, so I'm going with that one. :)

11. It is raining, do you go for a walk in it or sit by the fire with hot chocolate and a good book?
Sit by the fire with a book and hot chocolate. With Josh Groban singing in the background and an evening of Doctor Who following.

Le Questions for the Tagees.

1.) What brand of computer are you using?
2.) If you go outside, take the first star on your right and then go straight on 'til morning, where will you end up?
3.) How would you handle a pickpocket?
4.) Do you like cowboys-- meaning cowboys from the Old West.
5.) Do you know what the "big blue" looks like?
6.) What's you're 'go to' style for your hair?
7.) Have you ever wanted to be a voice for a character in an animated Disney movie?
8.) What's the first thing you think when someone says, "Let's get down to business"?
9.) What do you say when someone sneezes?
10.) What's your favorite smell?
11.) Why do you think girls find British boys more attractive than American boys?

Le Tagees

That's all for the tagging thing. I need to catch up on blogging, but I honestly am pretty busy, so I don't know how often posting shall be.

Great snakes! Look at the time!

Byeeeee.

Just a quickie---

Firstly! Just wanted to let you know that my letter is up on Pandy's blog! I must apologize for taking such a jolly long time to get it written and sent. I got busy and forgot about it. I'm being sheepish right now. =) If you are new here, (hi, you new followers! *waves*) and you want to get caught up on the game, you can get the first letter here.

Secondly! Remember that Hunger Games giveaway I was sort of obsessed with? I FREAKING WON IT!!!  *boing, boing, boing, boing, boing* I've never won a giveaway before! There will definitely be pictures uploaded when it arrives.

Thirdly! Do you like my new header? Do you huh? Huh? Huh?

And now I must go. I'm really busy lately. Methinks I must work on a particularly nice post to make up for the "here I am and now I'm gone!" ones that I've been doing lately.

Cheers and God bless!

A whole lot of nothing

FIVE RANDOM FACTS:

1.) We re-watched Lilies of the Field for the first time in years. I don't think I've seen it since I was.... six? I don't know why, it's such a fun movie.

These nuns have come over to America from East Germany

Mother Maria

Believes that this man, Homer,

Was sent by God to build them a chapel.

At first he doesn't agree.

Then.... he does.

And it's heartwarming.

It's a really cute movie, and I like it a lot. Definitely recommend it. :)

Here's a clip where he teaches them a song....

Now, just for laughs, imagine me as a two-year-old, singing, "A-a-amen. Aaa-a-amen! Aaaaa-amen! Amen! Amen! Sing it ovah" repeatedly during Mass. What can I say? I was cute. LOL.

2.) I have been in the mood for baseball lately. Like I want to don a baseball cap, go out and having a rousing good game. Unfortunately the weather's like:

So I doubt it'll happen. Sigh

3.) I drew this on Good Friday.

And these over Easter and the days after.

This one irritated me. The colors got ridiculously washed out when I scanned it.

So I stuck it on to picmonkey and had a jolly good time making it look cooler

Picmonkey is freaking awesome.

4.) I had to read The Virginian for school.

It's one of the few literature books that I actually enjoyed  reading! I couldn't stand the narrator, but the Virginian himself was a very cool character. Methinks I need to draw him. What thinketh you?

5.) Today is James Roday's birthday. Also Robert Downey Jr.'s.

They should get shwarma.

And now I will away.

I have things to do.

corn shells to fry

Tacos to eat

essays to write.

God bless!
