Le Update

Hello!

I just thought I'd pop in and say hi. So..... Hi!

FIVE RANDOM FACTS:

1.) Been a bit busy lately. My uncle is up visiting and we've been having Mass at our house every morning. It's really quite lovely.

2.) MAH LAPTOP IS BACK!!!!!!  You know what that means, right? I can start working on the vlog!!

I can practically hear a certain follower (who shall remain anonymous) shouting for joy.

3.) I finally  got to read Jack's book!

It's so freaking awesome, you guys. I'm so glad I own it. It has like.... all the elements I love in a story: good plot (ever thickening), great characters, (Ohmygosh, PETER!!!), well written action, (punching, and knockouts and guns, huzzah!), a touch of sadness (sniffle. Daaaang, that prologue....), and a nice solid pace, not too fast, not too slow, with witty repartee and hilarious descriptions. (Darcy...)

It reminded me a lot of Tintin, the way it felt, the way it ran, and the characters.

I don't even think I'm biased, despite the fact that I view Jack as a good friend. It's one of my favorite books. It's awesome.

Basically? Read it. Just do yourselves a favor and read it.

4.) My infatuation with Supernatural  isn't waning. It's.... it's.... it's a problem, you guys. And now Anna likes it too. Sorry, Anna. :)

5.) I've written and backspaced this fact like ten times now. I'm sure there was something  else  I was going to say, but I can't remember right now. I'll just put this video here in its place. If you have a couple minutes, I can guarantee it'll make you laugh. Even if you don't like The Eye of the Tiger. :)

So yeah, there you have it. I will work on the vlog and hopefully have it up next time I post. Stay tuned, y'all.

Bye!

*Screams*

So, today I have news.

Exciting news!

The kind of news that makes me want to shout and whoop and dance.

You want to know what it is?

Squeee!

The epic Miss Jack has asked to do the illustrations for her new book Abolished Impracticality!!!!!  Me! ME!! Doing actual artwork for an actual book!

Cue the clapping, people. This is huge for me.

I mean... I'm the girl who would draw seventy page books when I was kid. I would tell stories through pictures, and narrate them to myself; I've always wanted to illustrate. So this is a massively awesome opportunity for me.

I've got the first book coming in the mail. I'm super excited to read it. I've wanted to since she published it last year, and I'm haunting the post office until it arrives.

So, Jack, thank you for asking me to do this. You are awesome. :)

That leads me to the drawings for Picture Saturday. Because Jack's books have Steampunkery in them, and I've never drawn Steampunk before, I have been practicing. You want to see my first attempts?

I'm really proud of that gun.

Cheers and God bless!

(By the way, I got an email from HP telling me that my laptop's done and they'll be sending it back soon. The happiness.)

Bye!

Picture Saturday!!

Hey!

So, I not only finished W.A.R.P. (which I will need to do a book review on, because it was really awesome.) I finished the paper dolls too!!! WHAT'S UP!!!

Firstly, the paper dolls. Paper dolls are pretty easy, just time consuming if you want to do a good job. But look at how cute they are! Gah. I should go into Disney Princess Designing or something. Hehehehehe!!

Look at all those clothes!

And.... modelling their clothes!

I think... I might need to make a few for the four little girls in the house. Because they sat next to me the whole time I was drawing and colouring and cutting out, like my own personal fan club, saying things like, "I love her!" or, "Wow, Tressie, I wish I could draw like you." or, "I would buy those clothes." Adorable, kidlets!

And now, we have the profile shot....

And the finished Dragon Slippers one I posted last time.

And now I'm going to leave ya'll, because we're watching Real Steel, and really love that movie, soooooo....

You should watch it. :)

Byeee!

Sadness and Awesomeness.

So.....

Soooo.....

The vlog is..... postponed.

Wallow in the sadness. I know how much you guys were looking forward to seeing my smiling face again. I mean, I am  pretty awesome after all. (Hee!)

But I need to send my laptop for repairs again. Same problem as before: overheating and all that botheration.

Maybe they'll actually fix it this time!? That would be nice. Let's all cross our fingers and say a few Hail Marys.

Anyway, I will get the vlog up when I get mah 'puter back. Let's hear some applause!!

Anyway, on to the post.

FIVE RANDOM FACTS!

1.) I am making paper dolls for some of my nieces. I forgot how much time it takes to make nice paper dollies. I enjoy it, but it takes a long time. I'll post some pictures when I'm done.

2.) Amy, Kit, our friend Sammi, and I went down to Barnes&Noble today. It was so fun! I got a new book! THIS IS JOYOUS NEWS! It's by Eoin Colfer and I'm super excited about it. (Eoin Colfer is one of my favorite authors. Airman is awesome.)

After B&N, we went and got some frozen yogurt and listened to country music. It was epic good fun. Meherher.

3.) Kat and I watched a couple episodes of Supernatural. She's not sure about them. I might be a little obsessed. Okay a lot obsessed.

I'm kind of in love with Dean right now. He's just so cool. Beautiful eyes.

I agree

And he holds his gun right, which is a big thing with me.

Sam's cool too.

Just not as cool as Dean. ^_^

4.) We also watched  Jack the Giant Slayer yesterday.

Let's just say it was fun, but it was a little long and a little slow. I personally think Giants would be scarier if they weren't always portrayed as stupid and gross. But Ewan McGregor was my favorite character. I was glad he wasn't eaten and/or killed.

5.) I got my graduation pictures the other day! It was exciting. It was a little awkward though. I'm not a hugely great in front of a camera. *bashful grin*

That's all I've got. I will leave you with this adorable  song. It makes me happy.

DO be sure to ask a few questions for the vlog!

Bye now! Arriverderci! Ciao! Cheers!

Letter Eight and a question for y'all.

SO! It was my turn to write the letter, and yeah. It took me forever, because I'm terrible at organizing my time. And I'm lazy. But mostly I'm just terrible at time organizing time.

But anyway, I finally got around to it. Yay! I thought the letters were starting to get a little slow, so I decided to add some action.

I may have gone a little overboard. I was like, "BLOW UP ALL THE THINGS!"

Ahem.

You can find it HERE!

For those of you who are new, and have no idea what I'm talking about, you can find the explanation and all the other letters on the Letter Game page over on the right of the screen.

I'm a bit nervous and embarrassed about it, because it's out of the ordinary for me, so feedback would be nice.

NOW!! Here is the question I have for all you epic people out there in the blogosphere.

How  would  you  feel  if  I  did  another  vlog??

IF you like that idea.... I AM GOING TO NEED YOUR HELP!!! Ask me questions! All questions! Any questions! Weird questions! Random question! Personal questions! Basically any question you feel I have the brains to answer! Ask as many as you want! Ask away!

Put the questions in the comment box below, my dears.

And now I will leave you with a bunch of random pictures that I find amusing.

That's all I've got.

Cheers!

On my birthday and the 4th of July

So, as of a few days ago, I am officially an adult in the USA. BOOYA!!

The Sketch Pad of Awesomeness
Gel Pens of Awesomeness.
A couple of adorable journals. (apparently, I'm going to be journaling a lot this year)
PERFECT SCOUNDRELS!!!!!!!! (already finished it. It was awesome. I love Hale.)
HUNTER HAYES ENCORE!! I about passed out with that one.

Yeah.... my family rocks. It's just fantastic having a a big family.... so many pressies on birthdays, you guys. Hahaha!

Anyway, moving on. The 4th of July was epic. It always is. I mean duh. I was there. *grins cheekily*

I went all patriotic and wore the good ol' red, white, and blue, even going so far as to paint the fingernails. (I never paint mah fingernails.)

So, I read Perfect Scoundrels all morning, until everyone came over and the fun began for real. Hee! I made peanut butter and banana smoothies, and they were very awesome. *nods*

I took pictures of the little girls hula-hooping.....

And drew a little in the Sketch Pad of Awesomeness.

And read a bit more.

Reading is a big thing with us.

It was so hot, you guys. Too hot to do anything active during the afternoon except sit and talk.

And eat. We must have food to have fun. It is the way of the family.

Or play in the kiddie pool.

When it cooled down, however, we played badminton. Wooooot!

I make such stupid faces when I play.

That game was so exciting, look at how exciting it was!!

ICE COLD WATERMELON!!!!!

We finished off the day with a bonfire, and s'mores and storytelling. (it was about fairies, and a knight, and a dragon, and an evil guardian, and then we stopped.)

I take terrible selfies. *grumble grumble*

All in all, it was a grand and glorious day. I get all all, "AMERICA! RA! RA!" on the 4th of July.

I'm American and proud of it. So there. :)

So, how was your 4th? I want to know!!

Cheers and God bless!
