Darling calm down, calm down, you lose yourself in the clouds...

It has been yet another great age since I have blessed you all with my presence.

I'm sure none of you really care, but that's beside the point. Saying things like "blessing you with my presence" makes me feel important.

It's hard to blog without WiFi.
(Which, because of the Pearls Before Swine comic below, I have taken to referring to as wifey instead of wifi.)

Anyway, lately, I've been busy. It was a long week last week, we had a couple of huge weddings to make at the flower shop, so I worked a lot. This week has been much calmer and I've had time to draw and read and watch a fantastic multitude of Grimm.

Five Gloriously Random Facts:

Fact the First: After finishing Scorpio Races, I raided my sister's bookshelf and started on Raven Boys. (Actually, I didn't need to raid the shelf. She willingly let me borrow it.)

I finished it today.
"RAVEN BOYS" IS JUST AS GOOD AS SCORPIO RACES!!

Fanart coming soon. Possibly. Eheh. I need to draw at least one illustration for Jack's book this week.

Don't worry, Hannah. I shall read 100 Cupboards as soon as I'm done with book two of the Raven Boys.

Fact the Second: Going home after moving out makes me homesick.

Fact the Third. I actually watched The Incredible Hulk! And hey, it wasn't like I thought it would be. I was all sad for Bruce Banner, and I really liked it a lot. (One bed scene, I think, but other than that, pretty clean.)

Lou Ferrigno had a cameo, which delighted geeky me no end. I was like, "IT'S THE HULK!" and yeah.... *cough*

The must have Stan Lee cameo....

And the Tony cameo, which also delighted me, because I like his and Bruce's friendship in Avengers.

And frankly, I was sad, because I liked the tiny, crazy English/Russian man... you know, before he monsterfied himself.

And of course, this part. Which made me giggle, because I TOO am a beast when I'm.... hungry.

Fact the Fourth. I really want to learn how do to color when I draw, because black and white is all very well, (and kind of my favorite), but I want to know that if push comes to shove, I can color. I'm actually working on an odd sort of picture which involves a flame and a manly wood nymph, but I'm not posting it yet.

Fact the Fifth: GRIMM.

CAN WE PLEASE TALK ABOUT HOW AWESOME THIS SHOW IS? WHY ISN'T IT MORE POPULAR. We literally watched the entire first season in a week. There are 22 episodes. When I'm all caught up, I'm going to do a review, because... because....

BECAUSE, GRIMM.

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I just have a thing for cop shows. They are the best. And cops + twisted fairytales + friendships + witty dialogue + fight scenes? Yessssssss.

HURRAY FOR YET ANOTHER FREAKING TV ADDICTION.

Anyway. That is what comes of having no WiFi. lol. That is my current life up to speed, and I shall attempt to get Picture Saturday up on Saturday for a change.

Cheers!
Treskie

  5. Fact the first: I began to read this post and was like, "DUDE I CAAAAREEEE!!!!!!!" I was blessed with your presence, oh Lady Fry the Frenchiest.

Fact the second: I continued therefore reading thy post that blessed mine eyes and came upon with surprise a name of familiarity. 'Twas mine! I thenceforth said unto my blood sister, the sister of my birth, "HEY! I AM FEATURED IN THIS POST! AW YEAH!" And when I read what it was, indeed, pertaining to, I was full of happiness from deep in my soul, for that tome is a manuscript of much delight for me.

(Can you tell I just finished reading Beowulf for English class, and also have this strange obsession with becoming a knight of Camelot all wrapped into one? ;-P)

Anyway, when did you move out?! Are you far away from your family? (I'm terrified of moving out by the way. what'sitlikeprecious?)

Never seen Hulk or Grimm, so I have nothing to add there. Alas, you shall not be blessed with my commentary on those topics. ;-D

And yesssss you must needs gooooo to a place with free wifi and you must needs post another Picture Saturday. :-D

    1. Fact the First: AWWWW YOU CARE AND I WANT TO HUG YOU NOW. *cyber hug of friendship between two frenchies*

Fact the Second: I cannot thing of an adequate reparte to reply with your extravagant commenting style, so I shall go back to my usual. YEAH YOU WERE FEATURED IN THIS POST BECAUSE I WUV YOU. lol. You blood sister of birth must thing I'm so weird.

OOH I read Beowulf for literature in highschool!! It was actually pretty awesome.

Moved out earlier this month... it was kind of spur of the moment. *le sigh* But no, I'm still close to my family. It's like a four minute drive and fifteen minute walk, so It's not like I crossed state lines or anything. lol. Once you get used to it, it's actually pretty nice. I did it with my sister, so it's not like I'm all alone. It's *weird* and lonely at first, but then you kind of start going, "heeeey, I might think I sort of like this." it doesn't take the homesick away though.

Hulk is good. Grimm is very good. GRIMM IS FABULOUS.

Free wifi is at my other sisters' place down the road. It's very convenient. LOL.

  7. No wifey? That sucks. Almost as much as no husband-y. *Grins stupidly* But seriously, how are you watching Grimm without wifey?

Grimm looks amaaaaazing!! Is it kind of like Once Upon a Time? But more gory?

There's a Stan Lee cameo in Hulk?! It did *not* know that. That "Don't make me...hungry" gif made me giggle. It reminds me of that Snickers chocolate commercial," You're not you when you're hungry."

    Cheers!

    1. No husband-y. hehe. hehehe. hehehehehehehe. heh. Ehem. That sucks too. lol. Grimm isn't on Netflix. Or hulu. Or youtube. Or any other site that I can find. My brother got it for my sister ON DVD AND WE LITERALLY BURNED THROUGH THE FIRST SEASON. We're limiting ourselves to three a night now. XD

IT IS AMAZING. *fangirls obsessively about the amazingness of it all.* It's... better than OUAT. The plots are better. I guess it's a little similar, but instead of using Disney's fairytales, it uses the Grimm brothers, and twists them, so it's clever. And yeah... it's a little gory... but more like crime scene gory, and it's usually only at the beginning of the episode.

There is!! (heck, I think he might have had a cameo in the original Hulk too, back in the time when the Hulk was Lou Ferrigno and Bruce was Bill Bixby.) hehehe. Now it reminds me of the snickers commercial too. *thanks*

      Cheers!

  8. Yes you so need to review Grimm. I definitely need to know if I should become obsessed with it soon. Like only 1.5 seasons of Psych left to go. I NEED DIRECTION FOR MY FLAILING. (lol, I've got a lot to work through anyway...plus finishing Sherlock, 'cause I'm procrastinate THAT painful hiatus.) I'm sad you don't have wifey. Life is always better with wifey on hand. And I love that Hulk movie too!! I was originally REALLY sad when I saw the Avengers, because I thought that dude made a fine Hulk. I've been converted to Mark Ruffalo now though, so it's okay. But I really didn't mind the old Hulk. Although I could NOT focus on his girl being anything other then Arwen. When she came onscreen I kind of just erupted into giggles and said "IT'S HULK AND ARWEN."

    1. Oh, I don't need to review it to tell you to be obsessed. OBSESS ASAP, CAIT, M'GIRL, BECAUSE IT'S FABULOUS.

OIJOHOHOHOHOH IF YOU NEED A NEW DIRECTION FOR PSYCH, EITHER DO GRIMM OR LEVERAGE. LEVERAGE IS AWESOME. DO LEVERAGE. ONLY FIVE SEASONS. AND FUNNY. SO YEAH, DO LEVERAGE. Oh come on, you sound like my friend, with Sherlock, because she refuses to watch the finale because she doesn't want to go crazy like the fandom does when it's oh hiatus.

I'm sad that I have no wifey too. It's quite distressing.

Hehe, I saw Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk first, and he was so *perfect* I was dubious about Ed Norton. Ed Norton did a fine job, and I feel bad that he wasn't asked to join Avengers. But I like Mark better, so it's okay?? lol.

      eHehehe. Me too.
