Picture Saturday -- Stuff and things.

Yep. It's been a while.

Yes I know.

No, I don't really have an excuse. I mean, I have WiFi now, which is jolly. I have enough time, which is also jolly.

At the moment, I'm just a little bit brain dead when it comes to blogging ideas.

I need to start writing ideas down and putting them in a little clear mason jar, so that when I'm stumped I can stick my hand in and pull out a pre-thought-up post idea. Bountiful!

LET'S DO A LIST!!

A LIST OF HAPPY THINGS!

1.) I wore a cute sailor-y outfit today. I felt quite fabulous. (we won't mention how I may have splooshed wine on it, because that's not a happy thing.)

2.) My sister and her husband and their youngest came out for a weekend visit last week! (Hence no Picture Saturday.) We did lots of stuff and things, and it was really epic.

Yes, I make funny faces at babies. WHO DOESN'T?

3.) I figured out how to make the scanner scan stuff on high quality so my pictures aren't grainy. THIS MEANS I will not be using the camera anymore, and my drawings will look much more better on here. This delights me.

4.) I bought copic markers. *Flails*

Right, so happy thoughts done! (What a freaking relief.... can we get back to the sarcasm now? Thank you.)

Picture Saturday has... very little color. See I have my colored pencils on a shelf. And if I want to use them, I have to get up and get them and that's so much work. I will color more next week. And I will draw Luna the MLP next week as well.

1.) So first we have the bizarre doodles. Yes, I draw people kissing. What can I say? I'm in love with the idea of love.

2.) More bizarre doodles. But I finally drew a smiley person that I like!*

*You may applaud the smiley girl.

3.) HUG, because HUG.

4.) Le fairy, because fairies are always awesome, and I really like them.

5.) I had a really bad week, and this was the Postcommunion at Mass, and it just sort of made my day. And yes, I totally botched writing which Psalm it was, because I got ahead of myself and tried to write the wrong letter first. In pen. Go me.

6.) My co-worker's birthday was last week, and a couple weeks ago, I found out that she really liked this song called Bus Stop by the Hollies. And since the lyrics were so freaking cute, I figured for her birthday I would draw her a picture illustrating it.

This was the rough draft.

7.) And this was the final version. I was very proud. AND she really liked it, so BONUS!

8.) The semi-self portrait that I did. Semi, because A.) I don't actually look like that. B.) My hair is not that fabulous. And C.) I'm a leftie.

 9.) The really terrible dual.

10.) Jack posted the other day about how she looks when she rides her motorcycle, and her description was so cute... I had to draw it.

11.) Le scowly girl who did an admirable job depicting my feelings at the moment of her creation.

12.) Le mommy and her daughter, which was inspired by my sister and her kid. I shall probably color it in eventually.

13.) So I was listening to Taylor Swift....

14.) And that led me to my country music mood. And I just happened to listen to Play It Again by Luke Bryan, and that song is fabulous. (So yous all who don't like country *coughHannahcoughJesscough* can go somewhere else, because this is CUTE.)

15.) I bought Copic Markers.....

WELL THAT WAS A MISTAKE. Because see... as soon as I try new art supplies, I can't live without them. COPIC MARKERS ARE SEVEN BUCKS A POP, PEOPLE. Why!? So I only bought two. Yeah, I know what I'm saving up for....

GUYS IT'S ACTUALLY SKIN TONED. IT'S SKIN TONED! NOT PEACH! SKIIIIN.

Yep. My hobby is very expensive and it's sad. OH WELL! *Dances off to work for markers*

Goodbai. I shall see you in a few days.

Tra!

THE PICTURES. YES. I WAS LIKE BOOM PICTURE SATURDAY.

I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooved the fairy and also the bus stop one. I think those were my two favorites. BECAUSE THEY WERE EPIC.

Awesome job on all of them though. OH YEAH AND JACK ON THE MOTORCYCLE. SHE SAID THAT SHE RODE A MOTORCYCLE AND I WAS LIKE....THAT IS WAY TOO EPIC. Seriously though, that pic was so cute. And I hate country music and Taylor Swift, but I have to say I liked the Enchanted picture because a very good friend of mine does a cover of that song that I really like. So I can like the picture. XD

SMILEY GIRL WAS A SUCCESS! Good job. And I like scowly girl too. You're soooo good at expressions!

    The Psalm was perfect.

I also liked the duel. You should do a final draft of a duel like that because it's epic.

The markers look epic! So at least maybe they're worth 7 bucks a pop? XD

Okay sorry for the rushed comment but I have to go to work in like...five minutes.

SO BAI FOR NOW. I LOVE ALL OF THEM AS USUAL.

And I can't get over how stinking cute your niece is. <3 And all of you are adorable too but it's the obvious thing to say when there's a baby involved. XD

    1. HA YOU THOUGHT YOU KNOW ALL ABOUT ME, BUT I AM A BOTTOMLESS CHASM OF STUFF YOU DON'T KNOW. MWAHAHAHAHA.

Hahaha, I thought you might be stalking the picture saturday thing. XD

The fairy I doodled at the top of a mounted that we'd spent the last twenty minutes climbing STRAIGHT UP so I was exhausted. It was a good day though.
I KNOW THE BUS STOP ONE MADE ME ALL GIGGLY AND PROUD. I FANGIRLED OVER MY OWN STUFF>

Jack is very epic, what with her motorcycle and books and stuff. She's coming oooout. I'm so ciiiiited.

Enchanted is a cute song though.... (Heck you could like the picture just because *I* drew it.)

I KNOW RIGHT, SMILEY GIRL ACTUALLY LOOKS CUTE AND HAPPY!!!! I'm working hard on expressions because expressions are DIFFICULT.

      I love that Psalm.

Phffth that duel sucked, m'girl. I might to a better version later.

AAAAAAH THEY ARE THEY ARE. SO WORTH IT. BUT SO EXPENSIVE. *DIES*

No worries, I liked it anyway.

      BAAAAAAAAAI.

The niece you thought was a boy? Oh..... XD

  4. Ho there.

So I came on here to get the recipe for pizza, which we are making tonight. But I read through this post because it had lots of pictures and I thought, "Why not?"

And I liked the pictures even though they're all sappy and romantic and remind me of being single.

And then I listened to Bus Stop.

And then I forgave you for country music.

And then I looked at all your posts that are tagged with "Tintin."

    And then I followed you.

And then I commented (should I say, "And then I am commenting"?).

And hopefully I will get to the pizza recipe in time to go shopping.

I am in love with love... that is why I too, am still single. But then I see couples in real life and I"m just like "Oh go somewhere else with your love and stupidity."

      I love that song.

      Country music is good.

Tintin is fabulous and wonderful and I want a Tintin.

      I saw that. Thank you.

Oh whatever, I know what you meant.

Yay for pizza! Pizza is boss.

  6. *flails* WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF COPIC MARKERS!!! Aren't they just the best thing ever? But it is sad how expensive they are. I usually only buy them when I have coupons or when they're on sale. PRO TIP: You should also buy a white gelly roll pen. Then you can add fun highlights to character's eyes, and just fun highlights in general. 8) And, oh gosh, COPIC MARKERS COME IN SO MANY SKIN TONES AND IT IS GLORIOUS. I need them all.
    ~Anyways~
Your sketches are the cutest. Also, ENJOY YOUR NEW MARKERS! *marker buddy high five*

Omg, markers are expensive. I like to buy sharpies and WOAH. I mean, they're not as expensive as copic (which I had to google because I hadn't heard of them before!) but stiiiiilll. Why do fun things have to be expensive. *growls*
YAY BUT THERE ARE SO MANY AWESOME SKETCHES I CAN'T EVEN PICK A FAVOURITE. Wait. The Bust Stop one is GORGEOUS and the frownie girl at #11 is adorable. There I made decisions. I'm proud of me. :')

YEAH THEY REALLY ARE. Sharpies not so much, but copics? Mhmm.... COPICS LOOK LIKE DIGITAL ART THOUGH, SO HOW CAN I SAY NO.

Hahah! I love it when people can't decide which are their favorite, because that usually means they're all good. (or they all suck.... oh.) THAT BUS STOP THOUGH. Oh you like Scowly Girl? SWEET!

*sis fist* I'm proud of you. (In a Shawn Spencer voice.)

  9. Jack on her motorcycle! I love it! And the fairy. You're right; fairies are always awesome.

The Enchanted pic! Yes! It makes me want to watch Pride and Prejudice. . .although it has nothing to do with Pride Prejudice. It also makes me want to learn how to dance period style and go to a period style ball. That would be so awesome. (Almost every time I watch Pride and Prejudice during the ball scenes I always wonder what it would be like in that room, especially the first ball scene where the room is so jam-packed you wonder how they even have room to dance, and then I always tell my mom that if I could be an extra in a ballroom scene, they wouldn't even have to pay me, just let me dance!).

But my favorite is the Bus Stop one! It is so adorable. The first one was awesome, then I saw the final one and was like jljoiuojklkj!! There's SHEET MUSIC in the background!!

Ahem. I like that one best. And I might have to check out that song; it sounds cute.

    1. Right?! Hahaha. Jack is adorable lol. Fairies FTW! (Even though according to traditional legends fairies are actually kind of terrifying. lol)

Thank you! I really like Enchanted. XD But I know what you mean about it making you want to watch Pride and Prejudice. ha! I'm so glad I don't live in an age where you have to socialize as much at the people in Pride and Prejudice, I would be a miserable potato. (But yeah, I totally want to learn period dancing like that. I'd like to learn to DANCE. PERIOD! {See what I did there?})

Dat Bus Stop one opened up a huge window of creativity for me. I need to start drawing all my favorite songs like that, because A) My favorite songs are all fabulous and B) THE SHEET MUSIC THING MAKES ME REALLY HAPPY!

I like that one best too. You should check out the song, it's an oldie. :)

  10. that bus stop drawing is wonderful, definitely a great a gift. I mostly do everything digital so I have not heard of copic makers and have just looked them up. they seem worth it if you can afford it.

I'm a new reader, fyi, so I'm not even certain why I should even mention it. I pretty much came here for these kind of posts and for your drawings. do people use fyi anymore?

anyway, hope you have a lovely day.

I see you are a new reader, HAI! But yay, you have no idea how happy it makes me when people follow me for my art. Makes my freaking day. :)

      You too!

Yeah, it's a bit much, but it's worth it, I think. lol. I have no idea what they're made out of. Marker stuffs. I'm sorry art supplies cost a lot too. *le sigh* oh well, I don't think anything can keep me from doing art though, so you're safe there. :)
