On Good Friday, 2,000 years ago, He suffered and died for our sins.
It wasn't just the three hours during which He hung on the Cross. It was all day, from Pilot, to the scourging at the pillar, to the carrying of the cross, to His death. He suffered all day because of what we have done.
"For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting." John 3:16

FIRST question!
What famous person would you like to meet?
My first thought goes to Josh Groban, because he's brilliant. (duet, anyone?) People who say that he's annoying are just.... just.... GO AWAY, you people!
However, since everyone I know who has done this award has said Josh, (and I think I say him every time I get asked that question) I'm going to say Matt Smith. I really, really like Matt Smith. lol. Who doesn't like a guy who can pull off a fez? Hee!
So, a few posts back, I told Mime that I would do a tutorial on how to draw braids.
And then I got so nervous, I promptly pushed the idea to the back of my mind and forgot about it. .... Which, now that I think about it, was pretty unprofessional of me. *wince*
Once I got around to admitting to myself that I should probably do the tutorial and post that bad boy, I proceeded to vacillate wildly about whether I should do the tutorial with masses pictures like Kat does, or do it as a video as I've seen on youtube.
I tried both and came to the conclusion that video tutorials are marginally easier because I don't have to stop and take pictures every step. So I armed myself with pencil, paper, and my dad's camera, and got myself together.
PLEASE remember that this is my very first video ever, (and also my first tutorial) so it's a bit rough, and inexperienced. I must thank Bella for helping me speed up the video at some points. I had no idea how to do that on my own. Hehe. I noticed that even when I'm making an effort to speak slowly, I talk really, really fast, and I'm sometimes hard to understand. I also say "thing" a lot. Which sounds..... so knowledgeable. Yeah. I'm going to need to polish up on my public speaking. 'Pologies, my dears. =)
And now I will stop procrastinating and actually embed the video. Let me know what you think, yeah? I'd appreciate feedback, as I think I might be uploading more sometime.... and if you decide to try it, maybe you can show me a picture?? Hehehe.
And now..... moving on quickly before I get too embarrassed about my voice and short fingernails. LOL.
I think I really need to work on drawing big. My work usually goes on computer paper folded in half, and I think it's time for me to start doing things on a bigger scale.
Her right eye is too big. And her nose looks better in real life. =) But I'm monstrous proud of her hair. Hee!
She seems to look better from this angle......
This is what happens when I'm bored during school and make a mistake when I'm writing out questions.
My friend recently lost her Dad to cancer, so I thought I'd draw her something nice. I didn't really know what to say, so I just used a Doctor Who quote.
Now, here's my question: IF I were to start an Etsy account, where I did greeting cards, like the picture above: ^^^ Do you guys think people would even think about buying them? I'd probably have them themed, like DW, or pretty thoughts, or Scripture.... and if it were you, would you be interested?
I'm just throwing that out there because I think I should do more with my artwork... so please.... be honest. :)
AND FINALLY! You should seriously check out the epic giveaway at Jonnah's blog. I wants it, my preciiouuuusssssss.
I had a whole, awesome post planned, from breakfast to evening. I was going to take pictures of my adorable outfit (hee!) and show off how everyone in my family wears green. (we take the Saint Patrick's Day tradition very seriously. If you don't wear green you will get pinched....... byeveryone.)
But we spent most of the day outside and then we had semi-unexpected guests for dinner. (Corned beef and cabbage.... whaaaaaat!) The picture taking went down from there. :) It was, overall, a really lovely day, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Have you ever heard of a game called "Crack the Case"? It's a really awesome detective game where one person reads out a case and everyone else needs to figure out the mystery. It's really, really fun. Great for big groups with Sherlockian Minds. *nods knowingly.* I can only play a few rounds at a time, because after a while, I start to get really creeped out. Some cases get super, super scary. Wheeeeeeeee!
My sister Amy did a post a week or so ago about femine tomboys. And yeah. That's what I am, I think. I don't know how many of you know this, but I love boxing. I don't like it so much as a sport, (two people beating the crud out of each other is weird.) but I love the technique. It's great for exercise and self-defense. And yep, I box a little. And that's what Amy and I did for a long time on St. Patrick's Day.
See my outfit!? lol
*blush.* Yes, that is a video of me. Boxing it out on St. Patrick's Day. Jab, Jab, DEATH! (jabs are very important, FYI.)
And it's a big enough feast day for Catholics that we slack a little bit in our Lenten penances and have a good time. So, today we went on a picnic. With ham, and cheese, and trail mix, and chips, and cookies, and coffee, and lemonade, and cocoa. It's a PICNIC! We don't eat healthily on picnics, okay!?But there were apples.
We found out that in Italy, apparently on St. Joseph's Day, everyone wears red, like green for St. Patrick's. Hence everyone was wearing various shades of red. We're weird.
We ate, and flew kites and played soccer, and playground tag. For some reason, with us, fun includes food. Lots and lots of food. We're Italian. *wink*
Start singing the Winnie the Pooh theme song:
Deep in the hunnnndred aaacre wood........
Bella thinks crawling through the tube is for wimps.
For the record, because it was fairly chilly and overcast, this particular park was empty and we ran around it with reckless abandon without the fear of killing other people's kids. Heh. Heh. Heh.
Monkey see, monkey do.
Then we came home, watched a Psych (Heeeere's Lassie!) and ate a scrumptious meal. Yes. We eat a lot. But who wouldn't want to eat Chicken Parmesan and Spaghetti?
And now we're watching another Psych and drinking coffee and eating more cookies.
Wow. We really do eat a lot!
Ahem.
ALSO!!!! As an aside, if you like the Hunger Games, go check out Jonnah's blog.
She's having a really, really awesome giveaway, and it's.... well I want it. :)
Ahem, anyway. So I'm going to answer the questions from the bloggy party now.
1.) What was your first impression of the Sherlock series?
One of absolute love. My sister brought home the first season and I loved the characters, I loved the atmosphere, and I loved how they managed to update it without it losing the feel of Sherlock Holmes.
2.) What is your favourite episode? Why?
Uhhh. That's hard. I like most of them the same... maybe I like The Great Game, The Hounds of the Baskervilles, and The Reichenbach Fall a little, tiny, infinitesimal amount more.
3.) Who is your favourite character? Why? (It's okay if you can't answer because I surely could not. Just try to narrow it down.)
John and Sherlock are the best. Sherlock because, as Lestrade says, "He's a good man" and he is, essentially. And John because he's.... just John. He's loyal, brave, kind, and brings Sherlock down a notch occasionally.
And then Lestrade, Mrs. Hudson, and Molly are equal seconds. :) If you know me at all, you know that I have the hardest time deciding. I'm usually that annoying person who does the whole, "What do you want?" me: "It's up to you. I'm good either way." so yeah. Can't decide between the bestest characters.
6.) Who would you rather be friends with, Sherlock or Watson?
Um... John. Don't get me wrong, I really, really love Sherlock, but John seems more my type. Sherlock is so unaware of the effects his words have.
7.) Which character do you think you are most like? Why?
Hm. My sister says I'm a mix of Molly and the nice side of Sally. (but I can't think of a nice side of Sally. I'll take her word for it. *wink*)
8.) Rank BBC Sherlock amongst your other favourite shows. (How does it compare to other shows you watch? Which do you like better?)
Sherlock is kind of in its own genre. It's not like any detective show I've seen... I have like... five favorite TV shows. I have Sherlock, Doctor Who, Psych, Leverage, and Hogan's Heroes, which are my favorites. But it's hard to rank Sherlock.
It's just Sherlock, you know?
It doesn't really rank.
It's one of my five favorites.
So it's awesome.
So there!
9.) If you could spend the day with one of the actors from Sherlock, who would it be?
Ugh! Who came up with these questions!? Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman obviously. But then... Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson would be fun too.
10.) What is your absolute favourite scene of the series?
STOP MAKING ME CHOOSE! Sheeesh. Um... let's see. Let's just pick favorite scenes from every episode.
1.) Study in Pink - The scene where Sherlock does his whole spiel about serial killers and how much he loves them... and then he leaves and Watson goes, "DARN my leg--sorry. sorry. I am so sorry."
2.) The Blind Banker - Where Sherlock comes and saves John and Sarah.. "How would you describe me, John? Resourceful? Dynamic? Enigmatic?" and John: "Late?" (I was really impressed with the way Martin Freeman acted the bit where the nasty Chinese woman had the gun to his head. It was realistic. He was so brave.)
3.) The Great Game - Oh you know. The scene at the pool. Duh.
5.) The Hounds of the Baskervilles - I just loved that whole episode. But the "Thank you for smoking" bit had me in a fit of chuckles.
6.) The Reichenbach Fall - No. Just no. I liked the part where John loses it and is like, "No you're NOT! You're MORIARY! You tried to kill me!" And the whole end sequence, however much I hated it, was brilliantly filmed and acted.
And there you have it. I'd tell you to enter the giveaway, but I know that the more entries there are the less likely I am to win it. So.... don't enter. Haha! Just kidding. Go ahead. No don't! No, really, it's okay. Actually not! Don't! Ah! I'm conflicted.
