Memorial Day...

We must never forget the great courage of the men and women who have served our country...

                                         God bless the troops!

Here is one my all time favorite versions of our National Anthem sung by Josh Groban:

I hope your Memorial Day was lovely. =)

That's all for now, pepes. God bless.

Picture Friday-- Fairy

Okay, here it is!

Fairies are fun to draw, you can do lots of weird things with their design, and they still look pretty. =)

I promise to start doing some more in depth drawings at some point... but right now we have company up and my mom is out of town, so all the Donna Domestic stuff (cooking, cleaning, hostess-ing, etc.) rest rather heavily on yours truly's shoulders.

Sigh.

As an aside, my sister showed me The Nine Lives of Chloe King, and last night we watched the last three episodes. I actually recommend that series, it's really good, mostly very clean and the main character is a good girl, which is unusual in teen directed shows.

I won't give you any spoilers, here's the trailer:

I am going to say, though.... It ends on a serious cliff hanger. MAN! And there is no second season.... I signed a petition. Go here and sign it too. Get it back on the air! I want to know how it ends

The last episode finished and I was thinking... "Wait...what? What! What!? WHAT?! WHAT?! They can't just cancel it now!

Forget Team Edward or Team Jacob, I am Team Brian, because Brian is awesome and sweet. **melts**

You should watch it and discuss the ending with me. lol...

God bless, pepes! That's all for now.

Thrifted outfit. =)

FIVE RANDOM FACTS:

1.) I love mini coopers, they're super cute.

2.) And Land Rovers. I love Land Rovers!

3.) Shawn Spencer from Psych is absolutely hilarious.

4.) I hate acting. I am a horrible actress. Acting, for me, is a huge humiliation.

5.) I am defo in the mood for an iced coffee. **sigh** If only we had more milk.

So, the other day, my mom and I went to a thrift store and I found a dress I just couldn't not buy. It reminds me of the fifties.... and it was only four bucks. Woot!

So then, I was in the mood for a photo shoot. Luckily, my little sister was very cooperative and took the pictures for me.

     Isn't it a-dor-able?

                                   Photo shoots are fun. =)

I don't wear dresses very often. I just.... don't usually wear them, I prefer skirts. But this one I liked, I think it was the belt that did it.

     And I really like polka-dots.

Picture Friday-- Softball

Hallo all you people!

Well I have survived the week and even managed to draw a picture.

Hopefully this will happen every week?

As it is, however, today was super busy and I only have time for a rather short post because I go to babysit in about twenty minutes and must hurry....

My little sister joined a softball team earlier this month, and seeing her running around with her enormous glove and scary green softball, made me decide, "Aha! I know what I shall do for the drawing post!"

                                             Here it is. Ta-da!

What think you?

The aforementioned little sister bumped me slightly while I was outlining the whole thing with pen and therein lies the reason why her nose is... weird. I had a moment of loud and irritated outbursts of "Why did you DO that?!" before reconciling myself to the fact that I didn't have time to redo. Sniff. Oh well.

....Also, I decided against doing the girls' softball uniform because they look like this:

And I'm sorry.... I just can't like it. What's with the tank tops?

Wereas, little league outfits are so much more baseball/softball that I did them instead.

T.T.F.N., Ta-Ta For Now!

Oh wow. That's cool.

I have to admit... some things are very inspiring for me. And people doing crazy and incredibly awesome things is one of them.

    I like watching this.

    This is cool.

I would defo seriously consider leaning how to do some of this stuff if I was more outgoing. As it is, I just watch other people do it.

And then add a chase/fight scene to one of my WIPs*.

This video is a little... strange? And the sound is a bit annoying, but if you mute it and just watch all the cool action, hopefully you'll see why I would like to go to stuntman school. And why I might have to make on of my guy characters even cooler than I've already written him. :-)

     God bless!

*WIP = Work(s) In Progress. Aka, my stories.

And then I made a Decision.

Five Random Facts:

1.)  I really want to learn how to ballroom dance. It looks like so much fun....

2.) The movie critic for our newspaper only gave The Avengers one and a half stars out of five and a C- in her review. I am most indignant. Her opinion is retarded!
For the record, she called Captain America a "fuddy-duddy", thought Hawkeye a weak character, and had a lot of trouble following the plot. (If she had trouble following the plot, she was just obtuse, it was so simple.)

3.) The Avengers deserves an A+ rating. Just sayin'.

4.) Punching a punching bag is some serious fun, people!

5.) I have been very tired lately. I feel like this cat:

                                        And this cat.

And now I can haz confeshun to make:

LOLcats are addicting.

Really, really addicting.

I can go on and just read them for ages. They make me laugh so hard!

Yeah. **Coughs** I was on google images for ages. Doing nothin'. Being a slug. Quite lazy. Shamefullness itself.

That is not okay! Must! Stop! Now!

     Heh.

So now I haz (ahem) have decided that I am going to do a drawing post every Friday. I will draw a picture, and then I will post it. And that's the way it's going to be. Hopefully....

And that's it for now, people!

                God bless. =)

What I was doing....

I did a silly thing.

A thing only a total movie freak would do.

An obsessed movie freak.

An obsessed movie freak who was seriously excited about lots of very cool guys in the same movie!

**Pants**

I went and watched the midnight showing of The Avengers!

AVENGERS!!

THEY ARE AWESOME!

I AM MILDLY CRUSHING ON EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!!!!

Except the Hulk. (He was nice and all, just not crush material. :)

This one was particularly special. His name is Hawkeye. He is awesomeness personified.

So was he...

He and Hawkey and Iron Man, and Thor are all equal in my love.

And if you notice.... Hawkeye in the background. I might have to buy this poster. =)

There were a lot of cool people in this movie:

Oh yeah. It's that guy with the hammer!

The Hulk was very mild mannered when he wasn't the big green rage monster.

Even she was pretty cool. I need to learn to beat people up like she does.

The S.H.I.E.L.D. people were fun to watch...

And to be honest, I couldn't even hate the Bad Guy. Loki was a very old fashioned villain.... I think the problem is that I quite liked him in Thor, and he was super sweet in War Horse,  so I just couldn't hate him.

I loved all the Avenger people. I couldn't chose a favorite hero...they all had their moments of serious frikken awesomeness.

If you do not watch and adore this movie, my opinion of you opinion will plummet to the depths of absolute contempt.

It was clean.

It was funny.

It had great action.

I loved it!

One Year Ago Today--May 7th.

Exactly one year ago today, we were coming home.

**Pauses for a moment** But let's not end this series of posts on a depressing note.

.....So for the last post of the Year Ago Today set, I decided to post some of my favorite things about Scotland.

1.)   Scotland is full of Scots. (And you're sitting there thinking... "no duh.") But really. I have to admit that I have an absurd love of other country's accents, and since every time we went out we were confronted with glottal-stopping people, I was in heaven. :)

2.)   Scots tend to be a lot more 'rough and ready' than Californians, and that was refreshing.

3.)   It has awesome history. Don't get me wrong, America has cool history too, but Scotland has more. It's been there longer. (It was odd to realize that most of the castles we went to were older than America has been America.)

4.)   Everyone seemed friendly.

5.)   It had incredible landscape, quite varied. I can actually see me moving there if I wasn't such a....coward. I felt very much at home there, even though it was 5000 miles away from where I live. I didn't ever feel out of place.

6.)   I loved the girls' clothes. Man! I would probably end up spending a lot more on clothes there than I do here. They have much more my style. And I seriously want a pair of tartan shoes.  Yes, I would totally wear those.

Sometimes you just need to relax. Sometimes you need to enjoy yourself. Sometimes you need to take a break and go somewhere new. Sometimes, you just really need to go to Scotland.

This is one of my favorite songs, we listened to it almost every day while we were there. It leaves me feeling very wistful and homesick for Scotland. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. =)

God bless. xox

     Cheers.

One Year Ago Today-- May 6th

Exactly one year ago today...

Was our last day in Scotland.

It was therefore, for me, slightly bittersweet.

It was also kind of depressing. **Sigh**

I was surprised at how much we managed to cram into the trip. We went almost all over Scotland.

First off, we went to the Edinburgh Dungeons. They were weird. I quite liked them. But it's very hard to describe, so....I won't. I just give you the linky . =) Yeah......Weird.

And then we went to the Royal Yacht Britannia. It was ginormous!

Check out that table.

I wouldn't do well at it.

I hate formal meals.

It even had a bar. That drink was completely fake. Like plastic fake. This picture was completely accidental, he was just goofing around. **Grins**

We took turns writing in the guest book, 'cept no one took a picture of me writing in it, so I put Mahri up instead.

The engines were sooooo shiny! Woot, woot!

And we enjoyed the gift shop. :)

And then we climbed the 246 stairs of the Wallace Monument.

Seeing this, seemingly unendingly, was daunting.

I quite like William Wallace. I don't think Braveheart did him justice.... (It was edited. I liked Steven the Irishman, he was funny.)

I found this view....

to be most awe-inspiring. Look how high we were!

That was because we climbed 246 steps. It was cool.

I did not want the day to end. We dragged it out as long as possible. It does sort of make me sad to remember...and not be there. **Virtual hugs, pepes!** sniffle.
