Picture Sunday || July {1}

I mean at least it's only been three weeks this time.

I swear I will do a lifey post soon! As it is, I've just been really tired lately.

*Blows bangs off forehead* 

BUT GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME, SPIDERMAN: HOMECOMING WAS SO GOOD! Better than Andrew Garfield's by like 500%. You gotta go see it. There's a couple parts I very much want to draw, because.. yes. 

That being said, you guys want to see some art?

I've been a sketchy sort of mood, so there isn't much color. The case of the blahs is strong with me. 

1.) Anyway! Look at this cute couple, he's enamored and she's oblivious.

2.) I've been on something of a musicals kick lately. Please observe more Phantom fanart because Treskie has no life. 

3.) I attempted to get Christine's look of wonder/fear/curiosity, and ended up with deadpan. WOOOO!

4.) BUT THIS ONE TURNED OUT SUPER WELL. My mind went, "This picture, I like it!"

5.) Speaking of musicals, I've been listening to the Symphonic version of Les Mis. (You know, the proper one, with Anthony Warlow and Michael Ball.) That's a good musical, it's fun to sing along to. 

But anyway, I was listening to it, and there's that part where Eponine goes, "I like the way you grow your hair.." and, Marius, the magnificently unaware, responds with, "LOL You're so funny, you're like my sister."

And I got this mental image of Eponine looking into the camera like she's in The Office, and cracked up. 

6.) This is somewhat belated, but I was feeling exceptionally pro 2nd Amendment this last 4th of July. 

7.) Sometimes Kate and Tristan actually act like a real couple.

8.) And Kate reacts sadly. This particular picture is horribly disproportionate and dramatic. Such drama, Kate.

9.) BUT THEY ARE MY OTP. They're always gonna be fine. (Please disregard the sad fact that Kate's head is weirdly shaped and bigger than Tristan's, please and thank you.)

10.) Birthdays were on my mind this month. So I had Kate turn 20, and the boys made her a cake. It was probably Tyler's idea and it's likely he also baked it. Max likes to belt the birthday song, even though he couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, and Tristan professes that he's only there for the cake. (But he totally got Kate some awesome present.)

I've been really wanting to just have a night where I sing for people. Nothing special. A microphone would be nice. But I want to sing for people again. *Eyeballs singing class at the college*

So yeah, that's what I've been drawing these last couple weeks. 

I'm sure one of these day I'm gonna get myself together and be the blogger I used to be!

Picture Sunday-- Apparently, I cannot even.

Wherein Treskie is absolutely exhausted.

Literally me every night: "I am very tired, Lord. It's after midnight, and I would like to sleep."

Literally me every morning: *Peers at clock* "It is six o'clock and I didn't get to sleep until super late last night. I am very tired, Lord."

Literally me every day: "I am very, tired, Lord."

And that is my story.


Sorry this is late, I got distracted yesterday, so Picture Saturday got delayed. (Amy and I were working on something for the channel....)


I'm also relistening to all my musicals and getting emotional over them, because basically, music makes me feel things.

1.) Did I relisten to Phantom? Why, yes. Yes I did.

2.) I'm singing I Dreamed a Dream for one of my final songs in singing class. (AW YISS, SO FUN.) But the first time I printed the sheet music, the printer spazzed out, so I had these half-printed musical sheets that I felt bad wasting. So I drew this during the ten-minute break at class.

Yeah, her face is a little squashy, shush.

3.) Which led me to go, "Oooooooooooooh." And so I doodled across the un-transposed sheet music for my other solo.

4.) Attempted to draw Hale and failed exceptionally.

5.) I started this one and decided to finish it later, because I was tired, and could not even.

6.) Ehem. I'm feeling the urge to draw Christine a lot these days, because basically, her hair is the best thing since sliced bread, and POTO is the king of all musicals. SO... Here, have an inked in sketch of her going, "TRY TO FORGIVE, TEACH ME TO LIIIIIVE, GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO TRYYY!" Because reasons.

Anyway, yeah. I'm planning on drawing more next time, but I can't promise, since it's going to be a really long week at the flower shop. I'd like to draw some actual pictures of the Phantom, since it's his musical, after all, and I barely pay attention to him. (I'm more like, "RAOUL AND CHRISTINE ARE GOLDEN LITTLE GUMMY BEARS OF CUTENESS" #OTP.)

I'd like to color several of the black and whites that I've posted lately....

And I want to draw Christina Grimmie, because her death hit me really hard and I want to pay tribute to her somehow.

Picture Saturday-- Actual Randomness

This week has a lot of different kinds of pictures, which is odd for me. Usually I post a ton of very similar things, and it's weird when I have a variety.

I've been watching the voice, and there are a few girls on it that have cool dyed hair, and I've come to the absurd realization that if I was a less conservative person- or less socially awkward and inhibited, I'd be very tempted to experiment, and try different colors in my hair. Like.... I don't know what it is, I THINK IT'S PRETTY.

Anyway.

What's going on with you guys?

I'm listening to the Secret Garden musical, and coming up with scenes to draw. Mwuahaha, maybe next week we'll be seeing some Mary Lennoxes and Lily Cravens....

Seriously, happiness is spending your evening drawing and listening to all the musicals on your computer. Just sayin'.

1.) Speaking of musicals! Look, I drew Cosette!

2.) The aforementioned hair coloring comment had a point, by the way, it wasn't just an, "Oh by the way, I like blue hair..." it was leading up to this.

3.) Also this one. Kat says she looks like a hacker.

4.) I finished the Tristan character sketch.... Unfortunately I like his clothes better colored, but I wish his face looked like it did when it was black and white.

I love his beeeelt. And his shirt. But his belt is awesome, and he carries a glock .45, and a dagger-like knife that he inherited from his dad. (His dead dad. Oh yeah, Tristan is an orphan.)

5.) I think I fixed the one that got ruined last time. Not gonna lie, the colors please me.

6.) By the way, I discovered today that Kate bakes when she's stressed, and Max likes to steal them. (He thinks he's entitled to them because he's pretty.) This bugs Kate.

7.) Boys + babies makes the attractive scale sky-rocket.

 8.) I'm experimenting with card drawing. I'm not too skilled at card drawing.

 9.) Keeping your chin up means it's exposed, and in danger of being punched. My advice: Keep that sucker tucked and protect it with your shoulder. Aw yiss.

10.) I TRIED NOT TO, BUT IT LEAKS OUT, I'M SORRY.

Just as an FYI, it's exhausting to socialize with people until ten, and then drive like two and a half hours back to a friend's house to sleep, because you're too freaking tired to drive another half hour home.

I'm so tired that on a scale of 1 to even-- I can't.

Picture Saturday-- I contemplate the idea of a graphic novel

First of all, I want to thank everyone who commented on my last post: apparently my thoughts on my blogging skills made me seem somewhat downcast and discouraged.

So thank you all for being supportive!

I'm actually fine, guys. I was just genuinely curious as to why people follow me. But y'all are awesome for responding with such nice things!

Anyway.

No guitarists this week. I know, I'm a horrible person, but there you go. Can't draw it if you don't feel it.  As it is, at the moment... it's like I have no control over what my brain decides to draw. And at the moment, my brain thinks the only thing worth drawing is phantom. So I'm really sorry, but it's mostly Phantom this week. I swear, this stupid phase should be done soon! I'm just-- AGH! You can't really control what inspires you, you know?

Honestly, at this point, I could probably tell the whole Phantom of the Opera story, just through my fanart. Which leads me to the idea of drawing a POTO* graphic novel. It would be so cool! It would be such a giant undertaking. And I have no idea whatsoever how to graphic novel. (Yes, apparently "graphic novel" can be used as a verb, shhhhh.)

So yeah, I've considered that, and I'm toying with the idea. It'll probably get kicked to the wayside, but at least I thought about it, right?

Sorry if this post is a little rambly, I'm writing it kinda late and my brain is doing this shut down thing, which is very annoying.

I'm also cranky, because some of the pictures didn't scan so well, and I think I'm going to start ripping the pages out of the sketchbook to get better quality, and I hate doing that.

1.) I don't know what it is about Raoul, but that man just makes me all squishy inside. HE IS FABULOUS!

5.) She literally goes from, "lalala life is good" to "Life sucks and oh, by the way, I'm dying." I want to re-do Little Fall of Rain. I did it last year, but I think I do it better now. :)

7.) Random Katara. I basically slapped that one down as a warm up for phantom drawings. Did I get lazy with the water? Yes... yes I did.

8.) Because Christine is such a sad little cupcake, it makes me want to sing Wishing for class and make people cry.

9.) Apparently I was really in to the rooftop scene this week.

10.) Because, even though I'm all about that Raoul, 'bout that Raoul, no Phantom*, that bit where he's creepin' and hears All I Ask of You kind of breaks my heart a little.**

**The Phantom is the saddest of all the potatoes. I love him. I just love Raoul more.

11.) And finally, because Raoul is a hot potato.....
