Picture Saturday-- June {1}

It's been a rough week.

But I went thrift store and found the most adorable tiny shot glasses that look like miniature snifters and I love them with so much love.

So... there's that.

Also, there was jamba juice, which always makes stuff better.

But anyway, I hear people were excited about the Avengers fanart so....

1.) LA DE DAH, NO PAIN, ZERO PAIN, ABSOLUTELY NO FEELS. (Also, gonna color this sucker.)

2.) Also there was some happiness in regards to Phantom art...

3.) I've been listening to this song called Numb by Linkin Park, and I was just like, "That would make a good picture." So I'm experimenting drawing other emotions besides happiness and what my sister refers to as the "digustingly-in-love" look. So I dunno, what even is this emotion?

4.) That led to, "WHAT ABOUT JUST SAD?" (Apparently, I like EMPHASIZING certain words to MAKE POINTS.)

5.) Oh yeah, Bucky killed me in Civil War.

6.) Caaaaaaaaaaaap. I'm a little disappointed in how the color turned out, I wanted it to be darker, and not so red-white-and-blue but whatever.

7.) OH I re-read the Heist Society books, cause basically, Ally Carter is gold, and wanted to fanart so much. Ugh. So Gabrielle.

I have the cutest idea for Kat and Hale, with a picture of them, and the quote, "Wouldn't it be the perfect crime, if I stole your heart, and you stole mine?" and I JUST WANNA DRAW IT SO MUCH.

Also, Gabrielle and Simon should be a thing.

Picture Saturday -- May {2}

I don't know how to start this post, so I think I might jump right into it.

My brain is thinking all sorts of different things at once, and I'm a little too distracted to deal with it right now.

1.) Currently, I'm just experimenting with the toned paper I have, and I'm trying to figure out how to make it even more awesome. So here, I think she's the moon.

2.) I have epic plans for this one, so it's not done yet. BUT IT STILL LOOKS GOOD so I'mma post it anyway.

3.) I watched this video of Thinking Out Loud, and discovered that I have a type. I didn't realize how much of a type I had until two of my sister and my best friend were like, "He's not that cute." and I was like, "BUT HE'S A NERD." and... yeah.

4.) Sometimes I hang out at my sister's private lesson and draw her when she's singing.

5.) WE WATCHED CIVIL WAR TWICE AND THEY'RE NOT BROS. Ehem. So I drew Cap, and then next week I'm going to draw Iron Man, because I'm still viciously Team Get Along.

I'm gonna add color and highlights and shadowing and it's going to be epic.

6.) Random couple that I don't actually like because she looks like she's crying and that was not my intent.

7.) This really terrible Max picture because guns... He's stiff. It irks me. I am quite terribly irked.

8.) So then I did a more in-depth portrait of the guy. Max is the eye-candy of Tristan and Gang and it's ridiculous how proud he is of it.

Kat and I are going on a Marvel rewatch because Civil War. We're going to watch all the Marvel movies over the next week or so, and it's going to be.... wait for it.... Marvelous. Eheh. Ehehe. Hehehe. I'm so freaking hilarious.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!

I'm always proud of being American. I think we're awesome. I mean, yeah, there are going to be those idiots who give America a bad name. *cough certain leader cough.* But in general, America's pretty epic, and I consider myself quite lucky to be one.

But the Fourth always gets me like, "YAY 'MURICA. LAND OF THE FREE. RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS. HOME OF THE BRAVE! RA RA RA. ONE NATION UNDER GOD!

And frankly, anyone who says anything bad about my country on this day of independence is likely to get my independent fist in their subservient nose.

Today was nice. It was the first day off I've had all week, so I'm quite delighted to be home and not... at work.

Anyway, I always wear a combination of the flag's colors, because that's what I DO on the 4th. I also wore the necklace that Mahri made me. ('Cause Mahri made me a really, really awesome Winter Soldier inspired necklace. All you guys are now jealous. Mwuahaha.)

There was lots of food, and talking. We do that. Today, talk was mostly Prison Break. We do talk fandoms.

On a random note, it was my birthday a few days ago. Thanks to my brother I am now the proud owner of a pretty new phone.

On another note, I have been working all day, every day, all week this week.... Yay, adulting.

This means I've been too tired to draw. Sadness!!

But since Steve technically needs to save Bucky before they can take down Hydra, I figured that those lyrics wouldn't work.

So yesterday, Bella and I brainstormed, and came up with this, to the tune of the Do You Wanna Build a Snowman.

Anyway...

WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING TO AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.?? I am overcome with feelings and hatred of a certain character who's name and gender shall remain anonymous. But daaaang. S.H.I.E.L.D. started off kind of slow and carefree....

And then all of the sudden....

Plot twists, and betrayals, and Hydra! and! ...And!

*headdesk*

I hate Hydra.

Has anyone but me noticed that T-shirts are way  overpriced when they have any sort of logo on them? It's ridiculous! Normal, unadorned T-shirts are maybe five dollars? But add a single logo.... like a TV show symbol or, and the price jacks up to like fifty dollars a pop. 

Who does that?!

It's a freaking T-shirt for crying out loud! Sheesh!

So, I came up with a solution to this-- well technically, someone on pinterest did, and then my cousin did it, and I stole the idea. 

One word. 

Bleach. 

Bleach can make some of your fangirly dreams come true!

Right. For this project you will need:

*A dark colored T-shirt, or hoodie, or whatever you want transform into geeky awesomness. (I got mine for $1.99 at Michaels)

*Bleach. (Maybe a touch watered down.) And something to spray it with. (NO laser spraying! A nice, gentle fuzzle will do perfectly. I used a Windex container.)

*A template of the logo you want. 

*Straight pins. For pinning the logos. Duh.

RIGHT!

So you're going to want to cut out your template and pin it flat to the shirt. 

Grab your spray bottle of bleach, and take your shirt outside (or somewhere, where if the bleach gets out of control, nothing will be damaged.)

Aim and spray. (I put a piece of paper behind the.... the.... the neck hole (I know it has a real name, I just can't remember it right now), so the back of the shirt wouldn't get bleached.)

Unpin the templates, and WATCH THE MAGIC HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's dead easy. It's cheap! And It's fast, so that's lovely.

I need to figure out one to do for Supernatural. (I don't want to go around wearing a Devil's Trap symbol on my front. That could be awkward to explain.)
