Many Apologies

I was supposed to show you people drawings today.

That will not happen, because I am too tired to scan and edit drawings tonight.

It's been a long week, and I'm just about peopled out, and I want to curl up and watch old Disney movies. Or Flashpoint.

But in reality, I will probably work on a few entries for the Musicals Blog Party a fellow blogger is doing. I feel bad, because I told her I was going to participate and I haven't yet. Our conversation went something like,

Her:"If I do a musicals blog party, will you join?"
Me: "YASSSS."
Her: "If I do it in October will that be good?"
Me" YAAAAAASS."
Her: *does the party*
Me: "Oh look, life."

She literally picked the one week where I spent most of my life at work, and I was too tired to draw, let alone peer at a computer screen, trying to think of something intelligent to say. (We all know, I don't do intelligent very well, or often.)

So yeah, I need to work on that.

Other than that, this post is pretty much an "I'm sorry, Picture Saturday is postponed til next week, because I was lazy and only have like four pictures to post." and I feel bad when I don't even have as many drawings as there are days in the week, you know?

I figured out the name of Tristan's other friend and I will reveal him next week.

I have spent more time listening to Il Volo and Josh Groban this week than I have Phantom, so I think the obsession with drawing from that musical might be coming to a close-- don't get your hopes up though, I'd said something about the obsession subsiding before, and look how that turned out.

So anyway, I'm going to leave you with these two songs because, A.) Josh Groban's voice speaks to me on a spiritual level, and B.) Il Volo sounds like chocolate. So, give them a listen and let me know what song you like better, or if you love them equally, or just what think of my taste in music.

Picture Saturday-- Rawr

I had a lot of socializing this week.

Socializing is hard for me!

I'm tired.


On the other hand, we went and watched Scorch Trials today! Not gonna lie, I hate zombies, and when one jumped out... I may have yelled in alarm, like,

Zombie: "ARGH"
Me: "AAAHH!"

Very amusing for the creeper behind us, I'm sure.

24 is another reason why I'm tired. Stress. Stress everywhere.

Anyhow, I have some art to show you guys so la!


1.) A friend of mine has a punkish hairstyle now. He shaved most of it really close, and the top he left kinda long so he can do manbuns... So I saw him, and I just went, "YOU LOOK LIKE SOKKA." and he gave me the poop stare and walked away. I think I insulted him.

apparently there was a hair in the scanner that I didn't notice until I was editing.
Irritations.

2.) Here have some terrible fire and Zuko being hawt. (No pun intended. Heeeeee! I slay me.)

3.) I drew a really quicky sketch of Chloe.

4.) Here, have a random girl on the floor with a knife. 24 makes me draw strange things.

5.) This guy is so gross and stiff. But I like his jacket. And his face.

6.) I sketched Jack Bauer without a reference photo.

7.) So I colored in Zuko some more. Rawr.

8.) THIS REALLY TERRIBLE LITTLE LOTTE THING. I dunno, Christine's mouth got out of control.... and other stuff. Like I forgot to do Raoul's other shoe.

9.) So I've had this character festering in my brain for a while. And all I knew about him was that I wanted to name him Tristan Ross. And now, between watching 24 and rewatching Flashpoint with Sammi, his character bloomed and I was finally able to draw Mr. Tristan. As you can tell, I was very excited.

10.) And then I was like TRISTAAAAAAAAAAAN.

11.) Rawr, Tristan Ross. Raaawwwr.

12.) He has the weight of the world on his shoulders and it makes him a sad potato.

13.) A really hot sad potato...

14.) Oh, and he has a friend who's name is Kate, and they're just friends.... but not for long, because I'm a freaking sap, and I like romances.

15.) The lineart for the Masquerade drawing I did for Jess. I'M SORRY IT'S NOT COLORED IN, JESS. I MEANT TO. It will be colored in next time.

16.) Floating, falling... sweet intoxication...

Picture Saturday-- I try not to draw Phantom sometimes.

I was told by a good friend of mine, that she's tired of my Phantom stuff.

She's not tired of my art, but she would rather my art, on occasion, not be Phantom.

Pshaw.

I don't wanna!

Phantom is life!!

But you know... I actually managed to art some things that aren't Phantom related. HA! I'm the best blogger in the world, actually taking into consideration what my followers might want!

... but I still drew Phanart because that's how I do.

Right, because I missed Picture Saturday last week (I was doing shopping stuffs with my pal), I have a photo dump. And yes, I'm very into italics tonight, shut up.

Okay! So!


1.) We have the one that I drew because the quote reminded me of Sammi.

 2.) The pssshhh, it's too  hard not to draw phantom stuff...

*Cue Treskie going, "NIIIIGHTTIME SHAAAARPENS, HEIGHTENS EACH SENSAAATIOOOOON!"

 3.) The character sketch I did for Hannah's character... okay, so I suck at other races. She's supposed to be Chinese.

 4.) The one where I was like, "Can you imagine how betrayed she must have felt?"

 5.) The one that I did like after 10pm, and I was really tired.

 6.) The "Ohmygoodness Raoul is a hot potato." (And yeah, I'm mad at the way the color turned out. He looked better before I colored him in. *Angry Treskie noises*)

8.) The, I JUST FINISHED THE SERIES, AND NO I AM NOT OBSESSED WITH AVATAR, WHAT MAKES YOU SAY THAT?

So I finally finished Mary's paper dolls.... Sorry it took so long, Mary! I just need to send them to her. She gets to see them first, but when she does, I will post them on here. I think they look pretty good. *Pats self on back* Skillz.

Anyway, tomorrow I get to watch the Giants play the Cardinals and I'm hoping the Giants win, because YEAH. Baseball: best game in the world.

Picture Saturday-- I contemplate the idea of a graphic novel

First of all, I want to thank everyone who commented on my last post: apparently my thoughts on my blogging skills made me seem somewhat downcast and discouraged.

So thank you all for being supportive!

I'm actually fine, guys. I was just genuinely curious as to why people follow me. But y'all are awesome for responding with such nice things!

Anyway.

No guitarists this week. I know, I'm a horrible person, but there you go. Can't draw it if you don't feel it.  As it is, at the moment... it's like I have no control over what my brain decides to draw. And at the moment, my brain thinks the only thing worth drawing is phantom. So I'm really sorry, but it's mostly Phantom this week. I swear, this stupid phase should be done soon! I'm just-- AGH! You can't really control what inspires you, you know?

Honestly, at this point, I could probably tell the whole Phantom of the Opera story, just through my fanart. Which leads me to the idea of drawing a POTO* graphic novel. It would be so cool! It would be such a giant undertaking. And I have no idea whatsoever how to graphic novel. (Yes, apparently "graphic novel" can be used as a verb, shhhhh.)

So yeah, I've considered that, and I'm toying with the idea. It'll probably get kicked to the wayside, but at least I thought about it, right?

Sorry if this post is a little rambly, I'm writing it kinda late and my brain is doing this shut down thing, which is very annoying.

I'm also cranky, because some of the pictures didn't scan so well, and I think I'm going to start ripping the pages out of the sketchbook to get better quality, and I hate doing that.

1.) I don't know what it is about Raoul, but that man just makes me all squishy inside. HE IS FABULOUS!

7.) Random Katara. I basically slapped that one down as a warm up for phantom drawings. Did I get lazy with the water? Yes... yes I did.

8.) Because Christine is such a sad little cupcake, it makes me want to sing Wishing for class and make people cry.

9.) Apparently I was really in to the rooftop scene this week.

10.) Because, even though I'm all about that Raoul, 'bout that Raoul, no Phantom*, that bit where he's creepin' and hears All I Ask of You kind of breaks my heart a little.**

**The Phantom is the saddest of all the potatoes. I love him. I just love Raoul more.
