Picture Sunday-- Apparently, I cannot even.

Wherein Treskie is absolutely exhausted.

Literally me every night: "I am very tired, Lord. It's after midnight, and I would like to sleep."

Literally me every morning: *Peers at clock* "It is six o'clock and I didn't get to sleep until super late last night. I am very tired, Lord."

Literally me every day: "I am very, tired, Lord."

And that is my story.

Sorry this is late, I got distracted yesterday, so Picture Saturday got delayed. (Amy and I were working on something for the channel....)

I'm also relistening to all my musicals and getting emotional over them, because basically, music makes me feel things.

1.) Did I relisten to Phantom? Why, yes. Yes I did.

2.) I'm singing I Dreamed a Dream for one of my final songs in singing class. (AW YISS, SO FUN.) But the first time I printed the sheet music, the printer spazzed out, so I had these half-printed musical sheets that I felt bad wasting. So I drew this during the ten-minute break at class.

Yeah, her face is a little squashy, shush.

3.) Which led me to go, "Oooooooooooooh." And so I doodled across the un-transposed sheet music for my other solo.

4.) Attempted to draw Hale and failed exceptionally.

5.) I started this one and decided to finish it later, because I was tired, and could not even.

6.) Ehem. I'm feeling the urge to draw Christine a lot these days, because basically, her hair is the best thing since sliced bread, and POTO is the king of all musicals. SO... Here, have an inked in sketch of her going, "TRY TO FORGIVE, TEACH ME TO LIIIIIVE, GIVE ME THE STRENGTH TO TRYYY!" Because reasons.

Anyway, yeah. I'm planning on drawing more next time, but I can't promise, since it's going to be a really long week at the flower shop. I'd like to draw some actual pictures of the Phantom, since it's his musical, after all, and I barely pay attention to him. (I'm more like, "RAOUL AND CHRISTINE ARE GOLDEN LITTLE GUMMY BEARS OF CUTENESS" #OTP.)

I'd like to color several of the black and whites that I've posted lately....

And I want to draw Christina Grimmie, because her death hit me really hard and I want to pay tribute to her somehow.

Until then, here, have a video that made me cry like a baby.

Yours, ever so sincerely,

Picture Saturday-- May {3} + Inside Out

Three things:

1.) I'm going to to a life-since-March post sometimes next week.

2.) I watched Inside Out FINALLY! It was so good! I cried and smacked Amanda and it was great fun.

3.) I sunburned the crap out of my shoulder. And tomorrow, a big group of us are going to the lake to hang out and do fun things like read and draw and bask in the awesomeness of the outdoors. It's going to be delicious.

Anyway, again, I lacked the muse this week a bit, so I don't have a lot to post, but what I did draw, I like.

So yeah.

1.) The brown toned paper makes me want to draw couples, AND I DON'T KNOW WHY.

2.) I have like 4 sketches in my grey toned sketch book that I'm not posting yet, BUT THEY'RE MOSTLY AVENGERS FANART. And I'll finish them next week. Until then, here, have some Sadness.

3.) Also, Joy, cause REASONS.

4.) SERIOUSLY, SADNESS SPEAKS TO ME ON A SPIRITUAL LEVEL.

5.) Random doodle at singing class.

6.) Amy's singing Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again for one of her solos and it sounds gooood.

7.) Sometimes Kate drinks coffee and judges the boys.

SO that's what I drew.

Mad skillz. lol.

Question Time!
Overall best?
Favorite colored?
Favorite black and white?
Do you prefer Joy or Sadness?

Alrighty, ladies!
I love you all.
Cheers!

Picture Saturday-- Phantom Paper Dolls

I don't even know what happened, but all of the sudden it's been two weeks since my last blog post and that's not good. Oops.

First of all! Before I say anything else, my Raoul post is almost done! This being said, it's kind of morphed into more than just a defense post, and it's turned into more of a "my thoughts on Phantom" post.

This means the cruddy thing is really long.

SO I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU ALL.

Would you rather I did the post in two parts? (They'd still be pretty good sized posts.)
Or would you prefer I did it in one fell swoop? (The post's a novel, basically.)

Let me know, so I can format and stuff, my dears. :)

For everyone who wondered how the Giants game went.... we got creamed. *cough*

I worked a lot this week, which is nice, because I can always use a little extra money, ya feel me?

Somehow, I managed to do something to my thumb and my pointer finger on my right hand, and now typing is tricky, because they hurt.

Also, 24.

Jack should just be president, that's all I'm saying.

Bella's doing a petition to get Tale of Two Cities back on Broadway, and she would really love it if you guys could sign it for her. It's here.

Anyway, this Picture Saturday's going to be a little different, because I'm posting paper dolls rather than drawings.

I had a good time making these, even though they were movie costumes, rather than Broadway ones. I get that movies and stage performances are supposed to be different, but I kind of wish they'd kept the costumes a little closer to the stage version... that's just my preference.

Anyway! Here we go!

1.) The dolls themselves, because LOOK AT HOW AWESOME HIS FACE TURNED OUT! (And Christine looks sweet, which made me really happy.)

2.) Some of the pictures I took with them wearing their outfits didn't turn out so well, my phone's camera has issues sometimes, but here, have Christine and her Think of Me gown.

3.) The dressing gown from Angel of Music, because seriously, that's one of the most important outfits of the show.

4.) So his masks made me really happy....

5.) Christine's Wishing dress, because prettiful...

6.) The Masquerade gown, which is glorious... (And surprisingly tricky to draw, omgoodness.)

7.) The Phantom's masquerade costume. (Did you know it's called Red Death? CAUSE I ONLY JUST FOUND OUT.) Also, not gonna lie, this is my favorite of all of them.

8.) And finally, Christine's bridal veil and gown from the Final Lair, and this is possibly my favorite of hers. Her dress turned out better than I expected, those pleats gave me some trouble.

Ta-daaaa!

Ehem, I finally sat down and watched the whole Phantom movie with Sammi, because she loves the movie and she wanted me to watched it without bias... I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

It's a lot better when you watch it all the way through and not just the clips you can find on youtube. I will say I actually like the way Gerard portrays the Phantom better than Ramin whatshisface, because he acts more like Michael Crawford, who will always be the epitome of Phantom to me.

Also, I think the hate movie Raoul gets is wrong. The guy is a good actor, and he sings really well, and he wasn't a wimp, which is what I hear people say about him a lot. I mean yeah, his hair is long and... yeah, his hair's too long. But it's accurate to the time and he was really cool, so I think he made up for it.

Basically the main problem I have with the movie is that they made it quite a bit dirtier than the musical, the Music of the Night, and Point of No Return made me really uncomfortable.

Anyway, there you have it!

What do you think of the dolls?
Which one is your favorite Christine outfit?
Which is your favorite Phantom outfit?
Did I capture the feel of the costumes?
Let me know about the Raoul post, pretty please...

Let me know!

Love ya guys, and I shall be back soon!
