Picture Sunday || October {3}

I have much more of  social life than I had two years ago.

This is simultaneously really nice and rather irksome: nice, because I can do fun things with fun people, and irksome because doing fun things with fun people takes away from me doing fun things by myself. Like blogging on a Saturday night.

We had pizza instead.

It was homemade and delicious.

Anyway, holla! I didn't have to go to jury duty, so that made my weekend considerably better.

Today it rained a ridiculous amount, and blustered violently, and I drew a lot.


1.) Ehm, I finished Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and HOLY HECK YES, THAT SHOW WAS INTENSE. And delightful. And Roy Mustang is fantastic. (I wanted to fanart more, but I haven't had the chance.)

2.) I still haven't drawn the complicated picture my sister asked me for. (I WILL GET TO IT, I SWEAR.) So instead, have a picture of a random disproportionate girl with fabulous hair.

3.) I never used to be inspired to art when driving by people. But recently it's been happening rather frequently... this little kid was playing with his dog while Amy and I were driving home from work, and I was like, "TAKE A PICTURE OF HIM I WANNA DRAW THAT.' Amy said no. Treskie's Artist Level: Creepy.

I drew from memory.

4.) Sometimes I doodle on scraps of paper.

5.) I had to draw another cowboy, because last week's cowboy sparked an interesting conversation in my comment section on facebook. (Apparently it wasn't history accurate or something..) I was amused and felt the need to make amends for my lack of accuracy.

Yes, hi, hello, his left hand? Actually perfect. Thank you. *bows*

6.) Occasionally I attempt something on toned paper that SEEMS like a good idea, and then I finish it, and I'm just like... "No."

Here, look at this somewhat horrifying adult-faced child, who's hair is much too yellow.(But the cat is cute.)

7.) Other times I draw girls with gloriously high foreheads and a disturbing lack of hair ties.

8.) And then I realized that when I actually like a Shawn Mendes song, it reminds me of Tristan and Gang, and so here. I drew this one while listening to 'Mercy.'

SEE HOW THEIR HANDS ARE BARELY TOUCHING? I'M PROUD OF THAT, AND I DON'T KNOW WHY.

9.) Sometimes when Tyler's in a good mood, and he notices Kate looking at Tristan, he likes to tease her about it. Because he's her big brother, and that's how big brothers roll.

10.) AND ONCE IN A WHILE I DRAW SPOILERS FROM THE FINAL FIGHT AND GIVE MYSELF FEELS. I like this picture. Do not judge me.

Yep. I have issues.

Picture Saturday || October {2}

Hey guys!

Look at me actually posting and stuff!

I'm working on my life-update post because I have fun things and pictures to share, and I did something brave and I'm delighted with myself. So... yeah. No bragging...

ANYWAY.

Let's get this party started, because I'm pretty sure by the end of this post you're going to either A.) Desperately want to watch Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, or B.) never want to hear of it again.


1.) Currently I'm an itsy bit in love with a tiny little, metal-armed anime character.

2.) I love him dearly. He has the Napoleon Complex so bad.

3.) I also like his superior officer. That dude is one tough cookie.  (He makes fire. I like pyros.)

4.) In other news, I drew a dancing girl and she's awfully cute.

5.) I also drew a not-as-cute girl, but I'mma post her anyway.

6.) *Sneakily inserts yet another Fullmetal Alchemist fanart*

7.) LOOK AT TRISTAN FLIRTING WITH KATE BECAUSE #OTP. (And when it's Tristan, Kate likes it so.... holla!)

8.) I've always been a little in love with the moment when daddies dance with their little, little girls. IT'S ADORABLE.

9.) So Edward does very cool things...

10.) And holy heck yes can we talk about Roy Mustang? Please and thank you.

11.) ALSO JIM AND PAM ARE LIKE.... RELATIONSHIP GOALS. LIKE WOW. (And let me just say: I'm extremely proud of how well Jim turned out because yes.)

12.) SO! A bunch of us went and saw Magnificent Seven because A.) Wild West. B.) Christ Pratt as a cowboy, like duh.

C.) Underdogs against big bad guys... And sweet heavenly mercy me, that was a good movie. But WOW SAD, LIKE WHOA. I loved it. I loved the sacrifices and the whole Wild West Justice aspect of it, and how surprisingly clean it was. And all the cowboys in their cowboy outfits? Yes. Yes please. Can I just say how hard I've been looking to find a good Western? IT WAS REALLY GOOD.

So here, enjoy this rough, decided-not-to-overdo drawing because cowboys.

Picture Sunday-- July

So... I took a random two-week hiatus from blogging.

It wasn't planned. I just had a lot going on, and when Saturdays showed up, I realized, A.) I hadn't drawn at all. And B.) I would rather do ANYTHING but focus.

And that's my explanation, so yes, I'm sorry about that, and I think the lack of motivation might be ebbing. Which is good, because I have a couple of picture books I'm supposed to be illustrating for people and I HAVEN'T, because I've been too stressed out.

Other than that, life is looking more cheerful, this month is the month I plan to do things that involve adulting, motivating myself, and possibly starting a society6 or reddit shop.

Also I'm going to buy wine because I'm twenty-one now.

That's my plan, and hopefully I'll stick to it.

Buuut it's me, so it's quite likely that I will ignore the plan and stay in the same old rut as usual. C'est moi.

Whatever. Art, anyone?

1.) I kind of always come back to Phantom after trying other musicals. It's the best.

2.) Mostly, I just finished drawings from last week. *Sokka slap*

3.) What-ho, Christine Daae. Werk.

4.) Also this very attractive cowboy....

5.) Most of my art from last week looked like this, and that's why Picture Saturday was a no-show.

 6.) And also like this. 

7.) Bella informed me that Christine is making a very Amy expression in this picture, and actually... she's right. Sorry, Amy. 

8.) Proportions don't exist in this one, but the emotions are good, I think. (Basically Max is a flirt and Kate's having none of it.)

 9.) Remember when I said Kate bakes when she's worried? A lot of the time, Tristan's the reason she's stressed out. 

10.) Raoul is a precious cinnamon roll. 

11.) We rewatched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and I freaking love the stupidity of that musical. 

12.) If any of you haven't seen it, you guys should really check out Olan Rogers' animated short because it's gold, and in the space of like... 5 minutes, it gave me the giggles and then unexpected feelings. 

 13.) And yeah, I drew the Phantom, because whether he's a creeper or not, that bit at the end where Christine leaves is sad. 

So yeah. I think now I'm going to be back on schedule, which means blogging will be more steady again, and I have some exciting news to share when I get something finished.

Picture Saturday - Kick start

S'up people of the internet!

I'm back! And it hasn't been two weeks! I'm amazing!

Picture Saturdaaaaaaay!

And we're going to kick start this (hence the freaking title) with sketches and stuff.

And then we get to move on to PROJECT MY LITTLE PONY!!!

So le first. We have this random tree thing, I drew a few weeks ago.

 And then we have le character I came up with. I don't anything about her, except that she's about five inches tall, she's a fairy, and her name is Flutterbell. I think she's sassy. But that's it. If any of you want her, you can have her.

Seriously, write a story about her, because I can't.

Le mysterious cowboy who's shoulders and hat I hate. (But his face I like, 'cause shadows.)

AND THEN WE HAVE LE TAYLOR SWIFT INSPIRED ONE. (Don't hate, I like TSwizzle) Which I've been wanting to draw since the first time I heard Out of the Woods. I dunno, I just really liked that line where she goes,

The rest of the world was in black and white

But we were in screaming color.

So I let the idea fester and then I drew this. (FYI, Hannah, prismacolor pencils are the best of ever.)

Hehehehehe, kiss. Hehehe.

THEN we have le Percy and Annabeth iconic scene from Mark of Athena. Which I drew. And then colored in. At like 11:30pm. 

I think I'm getting the hang of color, what do you think? (My co-worker got me this art pen that I use ALL THE TIME now. And... just.... PRISMAS.)

And then we have the start of 

PROJECT MY LITTLE PONY HUMANIZED

I shall be adding to it every Saturday, until I get all the ponies done, and then I'm going to do a group picture of them and it will be hilarious.

I actually colored her in, but I left that picture at the other house, so I can't show it until next week.

So I started with Pinkie Pie, because she's PINKIE and I love Pinkie. 

Pinkie is exuberant.

And she is fabulous.

And then I worked on Applejack, because my niece informed me that I AM Applejack, and I needed to draw her now.

Applejack is a cowgirl. She likes apples and pies and being tough. (I don't think I'm like her. I don't like apples. Or pies. Or cows.)

SEE HER CUTIE MARK ON THE HAT?? SEE IT?!?

I do like to kick things though, so maybe I am like her....?

See? Cutie mark. Hip.

She's really fun to draw. 

And that's it for now because I've been blogging for ages and it's like.... late. SO! I shall away like a boss.
