Picture Saturday || September || 1

Hello everyone,

The gaps between my posts seem to be getting longer and longer, and I can't figure out why, or how to fix it.

This is one of the longest art slumps I've ever been in.

And on top of that, I am always freaking tired.

And on top of that, I keep losing followers! (No duh, Treskie, that's cause you're never posting.)

*Sniff*

I'm overwhelmed.

So that's what's new with me.

You guys want to see some of the least awesome drawings ever?

Okay??

Okay!

1.) Here we have Kate doing awesome things with a Glock.

 2.) And also a rifle.

3.) And also from the floor. She may or may not be fighting for her life.

4.) And here have some Tristan face studies, because he my favorite potato.

5.) Cause yes, he's quite cool and has anime hair.

6.) Also yes, hi, hello. Dang he looks good in a ball cap. *heart eyes*

7.) Ooooh check out this random elf thing!

8.) And this girl who's eyes are probably causing brain damage cause they're like 15 times too big. #idowhatiwant

9.) I love you thiiiis much!

10.) I'm starting to feel like everyone needs to pray more cause there are natural disasters everywhere.

11.) I want a giant hug and stuff.

Once upon a time I used to like what I drew. LOL aaah. Good times. So long ago.

Haha, it's currently my sister's birthday, so we had cake, we're watching Iron Man, and I'm beginning to seriously be in the mood for Civil War again.

I'm gonna try to post again next week, guys. Try and get a fire lit under me or something lol.

In the meantime, I have questions for you to answer!

(Cause I missed hearing from you...)

Favorite overall?
Best in black-and-white?

Favorite Tristan and Gang?
Best in color?
What are you guys up to?

I love you all!

Picture Saturday-- April

Saying goodbye to people that you don't get to see that often is really hard.

*Angry Treskie noises*

You guys want a life update post this week?

I'm actually back now, I'm not just popping in to say hai only to disappear for another three weeks. Wooo!

*Le sigh*

Let's get going on the first Picture Saturday since... eeeeee, the beginning of March? Wow, I didn't realize it had been that long.

Unfortunately there's not a lot to actually post, because most of last month was taken up with a super-secret art project I was working on for my brother's wedding. And since I only finished it about the same time I got back from Montana (like two days before the wedding), taking pictures of it totally didn't cross my mind, so I'll have to ask Joe for it back before I can show you guys what it was. I was very proud of it. Ehem.

Right, bragging's over now.

1.) Usually if I'm drawing, my mood comes out in my art. So angrily sketching faces results in... angry face sketches....

2.) Finished Agent Carter s2, and commenced the fanart because.... That finale...! (Yeah, I know, I really need to start using reference pictures when I fanart because the people don't really look like they're supposed to...)

3.) Not wild about his face because it doesn't look like him, but daaaaaang those shoulders....

4.) The super-uber quick one that I did while waiting for my private lesson...

5.) KAY I NEED TO COLOR THIS ONE BECAUSE REASONS.

6.) The I-have-no-idea-what-I'm-doing...

7.) Let your hair flow freeee!

8.) The one that I liked until I looked at it again and now I'm thinking her head is a little... misplaced.
Also, I really wish my sketchbook was a little bit smaller, because it's too big for the scanner and hence, I get funky dark splotches on my scans and it's really irritating.

9.) The art that turned out so well it doesn't even look like my art.

10.) The one that Tyler Ward noticed...WHICH WOULD HAVE TURNED OUT A LOT BETTER IF I'D HAD MORE TIME.

No, but seriously Tyler Ward saw it and it made my daaaaaaay.

11.) Here, have a really terrible pianist sketch... that I actually like and I don't know why.

12.) And finally, have the girl who emotes sadness, because I drew her this afternoon.

Alrighty, everyone, thanks for sticking around when I ditched you!

Question time!

Favorite overall?
Favorite black and white?
Have you seen s2 of Agent Carter?
Do you ever think your art is good, until you look at it again and decide, "Eeeh, no?"
Did you miss me?

Love ya!

Picture Saturday || It's almost Christmas.

We've turned the lights down a bit, to revel in the glory of our Christmas tree.

Kat's working on a Christmas present.

Josh Groban is singing Believe on the Christmas CD we've got playing....

It really is the tiniest, little things that make the best moments.

I'm sorry, ladies, but, even though I missed last week, this Picture Saturday is going to be a bit sparse, because as I said in my previous post, a lot of the stuff I'm working on are taking a long time, because they're Christmas pressies so I'm being really careful with them.

And since most everyone I know at least knows about my blog, I don't want to spoil things, so... yeah.

1.) I don't even know, guys! I'm a bit art blocked at the moment. Like... I was off all day on Thursday and Friday and I sat down and tried all day, both days, to draw, and basically... I came up with...

It's enough to make one pull one's hair out. Like, "COME ON, HAND! WORK! I'VE GOT CRAP TO DO!"

2.) Also, I'm trying to maybe sort of get out of my comfort zone and draw people of different races.

3.) Let's um.... let's not do that again.

4.) On the other hand, I may have drawn Mary holding Baby Jesus, because I always thought she probably would have held Him, rather than just lay Him in a manger.... right?

I'm trying to decide if it's worth the risk to color it.

5.) I drew Alice in Wonderland.

6.) This one, I drew the guy first, and sent a picture of it to my friend, with the caption. "Halp, he's hot." and all she said was, "You should watch Hairspray, there's a song called I Can Hear the Bells, and it's totally you."

(I listened to the song and was offended. But then I drew the girl, and sent it to Sammi again with the new caption of, "#shecanhearthebells" and now it's a standing joke between us.)

7.) OH LOOK! I DREW TRISTAN AND GANG AND IT'S NOT SAD.

Kate's mouth is not solid black, and I don't know why it looks like that

Yeah, so basically, Kate loves Christmas and made everyone wear Santa hats, and got all the boys to help her decorate their bunker.

So the picture is pretty much her going, "Tyler, no! Cookies are for after we're done."
And then Max steals one because he's pretty and that's what he does, and Kate goes, "Guys! Tristan, tell them no!"
And Tristan grumbles, "No. You made me where the hat, and you stuck me with the job of making the lights blink. You're on your own. This is payback."

And aaaaah. Dem's my peoples.

8.) And okay, last one and I'm sorry... But I have to make the date huge when I finish a sketchbook, so.... YEAH. COLOR.

Yep, okay, that's it this week.

Sorry.

Question Time!

Favorite overall this week?
Favorite colored?
Black and white?
Best Christmas one?
What was the last song you listened to?

Alright! I'm gone!

Picture Saturday-- B&W

This is actually being posted on Saturday.

How novel.

Anyway, I'm here to tell you right now, that I was not in the mood to color this week, so we have a load of black and white, and I hope that's okay with y'all.

Sometimes it's just easier to stick with my pens and pencils. And I'm best with black and white, sometimes I feel like my color drawings are a bit.... how can I say... garish. I don't like garish..... Hmm. What do you think?

I wish mechanical pencils came with brown lead, because I want to start drawing in sepia tones, but it's hard for me to use regular pencils because they loose their sharp points really fast and it freaks me out.

I really like my pencils to stay sharp.

I also want to try digital art, but as far as I can tell, free programs are not the thing, and people recommend Photoshop or... or a different one I forget the name of. But I cannot afford Photoshop and it makes me sad. #brokepeopleproblems

Right so let's get on with it, shall we?

1.) Sometimes I draw guys holding girls and laughing because love is awesome.

Do I think big, chunky glasses are attractive? Why yes. Yes I do.

2.) Sometimes I draw different poses of guys holding girls and laughing.

3.) Sometimes I draw scary hair. Mostly because I saw a picture on pinterest and wondered if I could... draw it.

4.) Sometimes I draw kisses.

5.) Sometimes I use my previous drawings as references for bigger pictures. (To be colored when I'm not sad that I misread the deadline for an art contest.)

6.) Sometimes I draw Lucy Carlyle from Lockwood & Co.... And discovered that I really like the effect of super dark eyes and thick eyebrows.

7.) Sometimes I draw Anthony Lockwood because hawt. (Also because I just finished the third book of the series and YEAH OKAY, INTENSE, AND A LITTLE BIT CREEPY.)

8.) Sometimes I draw people getting walloped with a snowball because it's almost December.

I did not draw Tristan and gang this week, because they're still insisting that Max do the Thing. I do not want Max to do the Thing, so they aren't going to be drawn until, A.) Max decides not to do the thing, B.) Max gives me a really good reason why he should do the Thing, or, C.) Max figures out a way to do the Thing without making the entire gang and the whole world hate him.

Now that Thanksgiving has passed, I feel I can listen to Christmas music and it makes me so happy. You have no idea how hard it was for me to wait until Thanksgiving. This year, I don't know what it is, but I was ready for Christmas by like... October.

I want to get candy canes and go caroling when it's like two days 'til Christmas.

You guys should give me ideas for Christmas cards because every time I sit down to draw one, I get art blocked.

FYI, the Mary Poppins we went to see last week was stellar. So unbelievable good, I'm a Broadway snob, and I think the talent in the show was definitely good enough to be on Broadway. *dies* So good.

Anyway, how are all you lovely people?

I found a new artist on pinterest that I adore, and when I finish this post, I'm going to find everything she has ever drawn and pin it. (All while probably crying that I'm not even sort of that good. Like seriously, look.)

*cries all the tears*

Mkay, question time.

Favorite drawing this week?
If you could pick one of the above for me to color, which would it be?
You should give me ideas for Christmas cards.
Seriously. I need ideas.
Have you read "Lockwood & Co"?

Alrighty! I must go. I love you all!
