That's been my general mood all week.
I have a lot going on. And I'm not used to that, so I'm not handling it very well. I'm like, "I should do the thing." and then the part of me that royally hates all things new is like, "The thing is horrible. Binge watch Daredevil s2 instead." And I go, "Yes sir, brain-that-should-know-better, I shall watch Daredevil rather than acknowledge my responsibilities."
Formatting children's books is hard. Figuring out how to do it is hard. How do you even art for kids' books?
How do people who work and go to school and raise kids ever get anything done? I'm single, and I'm not going to college and I have a pretty easy schedule, so in all truthfulness, there ought to be a never ending stream of art flowing from me. But this week, I have like a grand total of six drawings.
All hail the laziest blogger!

Anyhow.
This week I've been mostly just like, "Meh. Fanart. Meh illustrations. Meh."
So I stuck to what I know the best, and that's pretty much Tristan and Gang, 'cause story or not, they're fabulous. (At least to me they are.)
1.) Tristan sometimes tells Kate that he's sorry for getting her into messy situations, and he's adorable about it.
2.) SO SO SO. KATE GETS INTERROGATED AND HURT AND STUFF. And then the gang crashes in and saves her. (It's all very plotty and it makes perfect sense....) BUT she's hurt. So Tristan freaks out, because after all, she's his girl, and he blames himself, and it's awesome. (Am I feeling that sadistic joy writers keep talking about? Oooh.)
3.) So then Tristan goes on a rage rampage and full-on storms the antagonist's headquarters, because he's a fool, and ultimately gets caught.
wow, such thug. |
4.) I like to torment Bella and Jack with pictures of Tyler and Max being bros and doing bro things, because they know what happens and it makes them sad. Spoiler alert: I'mma kill one. WOO.
Ignore Max's shovel-hand. It's stupid. |
5.) Ugh, I meant to draw Monty waving his saw around and singing about poison in his pocket, but I didn't get around to it. Instead, here, have the finished product of the sketch from last week. Don't speak to me, it did not turn out as I had envisioned and it makes me want to yell and throw things. Blech.
6.) And here's my favorite bit of the song "Beauty Is" from Light in the Piazza. BECAUSE CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW CUTE FABRIZIO IS? LIKE SERIOUSLY.
Question Time!

That is all.
LOL! YOU won't die, HE will die. DIFFERENCE. XD (I'm very sorry.)
DeleteHahah wow really? I hated that one when I posted it. XD
Aw, the unhappy pig.
ReplyDeleteFavorite overall?-Hm. I'm not sure. I like all the expressions in #5.
Favorite from Tristan and Gang?- I would say #4, because bros doing bro things are the best. BUT...!
Have you heard any new musicals lately?- Nothing new. I've been needing to re-watch some old favourites, though.
That pig speaks to me on a spiritual level. lol.
DeleteREALLY? oh. lol.
DEATH. MOSTLY DEATH mwuahaha.
Same. I'm running out of awesomeness. lol.
Thanks for commenting, mdear! :)
I like #6 - very cute couple/drawing. the guy is very cute there with his curly hair.
ReplyDeletehaven't seen the new Bourne movie & probably won't either, the previous ones were good but I'm really not a fan of sequels, haven't they make enough already?
have a lovely day.
Yeaaah, that's the Italian in him. :)
DeleteYeah, I get that, depending on the sequel. 'Cept I really like Bourne, so I must see his cool fight scenes. :)
If like to see you draw a picture of a real life moment of a mom with seven kids( me as theme?!🙂) trying to can fruit on a hot day over a hot stove, while having two kids cutting fruit, two kids on the floor fighting over sunglasses, baby in walker making the blebb, blebb, blebb sound with his tongue and two more trying to eat the fruit out of a the box..... Real mom, real mom figure, obvious kids in a challenging moment.
ReplyDeleteHahaha wow. Specific. This wasn't based on any event that happened along in your hot kitchen on a hot day, was it??
Delete:D I shall see what I can do. It might no be this week though, lots of people in one picture takes a lot of time. BUT I'LL TRY. ;)
AHAH. What you said about not able to handle life right now...I can so relate. And I have school on top of everything so of COURSE I go and discover a new show right when I'm busiest. Because you know. #procrastination
ReplyDeleteFavorite overall....No. 1 BECAUSE BLUEEEE.
Favorite of the Gang...No. 4 because BROS. *silently cries over the fact that you're going to kill ne of them*
Any new musicals...sort of. I just watched Oklahoma for the first time with a resounding reaction of "meh". And I'm going to go see Wicked next week, so I guess that counts.
Excited for Bourne...YES. Even though I haven't even seen the Bourne movies. BUT YES. MUCH EXCITE.
OH WHAT SHOW DID YOU DISCOVER?????????????
DeleteBLUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol. Yeah, Bro stories are the best, especially when their bromance is really good, and then it gets really strained and then the strain is resolved and then one bro dies.... XD XD XD
Which version of Oklahoma, cause the one from the sixties, is definitely MEH but the one with Hugh Jackman is definitely MWAH. lol. Ooh, Wicked.
BOURNE WAS GOOOOOOOOD. (BUT YOU MUST WATCH THE ORIGINALS BECAUSE WOW BEST. (The first one has one intense kiss scene that we always skip, and they all have swearing, just so you're *aware*)
THE ONE OF MAX AND TRISTIAN. YOU SEE IT?! YOU SEE IT!? THIS IS WHY YOU CAN"T HAVE NICE THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHE GON' DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
DeleteYASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. THANK YOU.
ReplyDeleteand YAR I'M GOING TO KILL ONE, AND I KEEP SWITCHING WHICH ONE, BUT ONE OF THEM WILL DEFINITELY DIE.
Hehehe. I love it and hate it simultaneously.
Yay for OCs!! And hey, you got some drawings finished and posted this week, so that's good (or a couple weeks ago, rather; I know I'm late commenting. :-) )
ReplyDeleteI like reading about your characters. They sound fun and quirky, with the right blend of seriousness in their personalities as well. Speaking of, they all have distinct personalities, which is good characterization--but also fun to read about!
#1--Aw! Kate's expression looks really good here, kind of discouraged and melancholy. And wow, that nice long ponytail! Favorite Tristan & Gang for this week.
#2--Totally understand the sadistic joy thing. Not like we like torturing characters, but it's also dramatic and heart-tugging and fits the story. :-) Kate's expression is good here; it does look like she's in pain or some discomfort.
#3--Wow. Nice work on the bad guy's outfit, hand, gun, and expression. And Tristan's expression, especially the cuts on his face.
#4--ARGH, NO! Actually, I do the same thing to my characters: make up stories or fluff between two people, one of whom is going to die. Why do I do this to myself? I have no idea. Oh, right, the picture. :-) I like their expressions and that fistbump!
#5--Well...the picture looks okay to me. I particularly like their poses. But sorry that it didn't turn out the way you wanted.
#6--Adorable! Everything from her expression and pose to his hair and the way their hands hold the hat...just sweet. This drawing is my favorite for the week! And I need to listen to Light in the Piazza.
New musicals: not yet. I want to listen to Anastasia; Light in the Piazza, and one other whose name escapes me. And I'm trying to like The Scarlet Pimpernel. Nothing about it grabbed me instantly; but sometimes musicals have to grow on me. So I'll give it another chance. :-)
Y'know, I'm not crazy about action flicks, so I may watch the new Bourne film, or I may not. I did watch the original three Bourne films, though (and Bourne Legacy, though I didn't think that was as good as the originals.)
