June || #notdead

But I'm posting anyway.

I woke up with a start a few days ago and proceeded to facepalm in dismay.

Because, holy heck no, I haven't posted in like two months.

I'm appalled at myself.

I'm sorry, guys. It's been a weird couple of weeks. And I haven't drawn hardly at all, I haven't had the energy.

That being said, I will try to be better, but I make no promises, because I just don't know if I can keep them.

I very much apologize for being gone so long. I haven't been reading or commenting on blogs either. I'm a horrible human.

But for now... Please observe my art. *Bows*

1.) Here, we have the first hug of the evening. It's cute. It's cuddly. Her hair makes me happy.

2.) This one is just different. I'm not sure about it. I like her ponytail. She's probably listening to a musical or something.

3.) I call this one, "Art block at it's finest,"

 4.) "Art block 2.0"

5.) My sister-in-law asked me to draw a thing, and I did, and I'm mostly pleased with it. But it could use some tweaking.

6.) The "Memorare" is a great prayer.

(I'm absurdly happy with that veil. Like YES, it actually looks like LACE!)

7.) We listened to a version of Phantom of the Opera that none of us had heard before. It was an old version ('88, I believe?), with Michael Ball, Dave Willets, and Rebecca Caine, and oh my my. Can we talk about how the earlier casts actually kept the tune? And got their timing right?
And the Phantom didn't scream "GAO KNAOW AND LIIEEAVE MAAAEEE!"??*

*Go now and leave me

Good times.

8.) What's happening in this one? I have no idea. But I don't like it. Like... at all.

9.) *Whistles*

10.) This cuteness.

11.) MAX! He hasn't shown up in a while. Poor Max.... I'm not wild about the way the post turned out, but Max is such a sad potato here.

12.) So.. sometimes when Kate is recovering from injuries, she wears Tristan's shirt cause it's looser and more comfortable. Tristan thinks it's adorable.

13.) And sometimes even the toughest, most hardcore leaders need someone to hug them and let them know they're doing a good job.

Yeah.

I don't know, guys. I've just been... out of it lately. I'm trying to work drawing into my daily routine again, but I'm having a hard time with it, so please bear with me. :)

So that being said, I hope you all had an awesome weekend!

I miss you all!

Picture Sunday || April { 1 }

You know that feeling of exhaustion...
where you're so tired that you can't sleep,
and when you do sleep, you don't sleep well,
and you just sit there, in this stupid perpetual state of tiredness...

I'm at that point.

*Has a snark.*

Anyway. IT'S PASSION SUNDAY. WHICH MEANS WE GET PALMS
NEXT SUNDAY. WHICH MEANS EASTER IS IN TWO WEEKS.

  *Boing boing boing*

I am extremely sugared up and caffeinated.

You want to see some drawings?

Okay, here we go!

1.) It's spring! Which means baseball!

2.) Why is Flynn so freaking impossible to draw? Is it because his face is too perfect?
We may never know.

3.) The girl who's eyes seem to be looking in two different directions. Please send help.

4.) This terrible awful sketch. Proportions don't exist here.

 5.) Christine's sad lil face!!

6.) This cute little child with her oversized hat...

7.) Sometimes The Walking Dead makes me somewhat sad.

 8.) I like Michonne.

9.) This stupid kiss where I was like, WHAT IS HIS FACE DOING? WHY
IS HE STANDING LIKE THAT? GROSS.

10.) I like waist hugs this week, I guess. Look at Kate and Tristan being the cutest of all the couples!

I'm sorry I've been so absent lately, guys. I have a lot going on these days.

Sometimes I find music and I adore it.

Question Time!
Favorite colored?
Best black and white?
Favorite on toned paper?
Did you listen to the song?

I love you guys!

Picture Sunday || March {2}

I am so tired.

I'm tired of working. I'm tired of being tired.

At least I'm not sick anymore! There's that.

It's been exactly a year since I left to visit Gina and Dan and that blew my mind.

Anyone else having zero motivation to do stuff?

I have zero motivation to do stuff.

When people ask me what I'm up to, I basically turn into Rick Grimes:

Yup.

Anyway, this week in art, we have random stuff, colored stuff, and... thiiings. (Ehehe, Walking Dead fans, see what I did there? SEE IT?)

1.) We have the purple haired girl with a... shawl? I don't even know, but it's drapey.

2.) I call this one "Too Fabulous."

3.) This birthday card I did for a friend of the family. It says happy birthday in Gallifreyan letters, for all you Doctor Who nerds. That also happens to be one of my favorite Doctor Who quotes. It's awesome.
I'm not altogether too happy with the way the TARDIS looks... it's a bit off.

4.) This one I copied from a picture earlier today cause a freaking adorable kid in a giant sweater is too cute not to draw. Kinda frustrated with it. (Kinda frustrated with most my art this week. :)

5.) This one I did of Gina and Dan. The reference picture is from when they were still dating and not even engaged yet. He was teaching her to dance. #actualOTP

6.) This psalm that was the Introit for Mass a few weeks ago...

7.) The Walking Dead inspired one that I intend to color next week.

8.) Genesis, chapter one, has this verse that says,

"And God made two great lights: a greater light to rule the day,
and a lesser light to rule the night: and the stars."

And I dunno, I've always thought that if the sun and the moon were people, the sun would be a man, and the moon would be a woman, and rereading that bit made me want to draw. So I drew it. I want to do a companion piece of the sun. We'll see.
Her skirt should have had more movement... so that's irritating. Maybe I'll redo at some point. :)

I'm currently in a bit of an art slump, so that's a sad story. My life's been a little tumultuous lately, and I think that's affecting it some. Bear with me, guys. I shall power through and get back to blogging. I intended to blog more at the new year, not less

*Irritated Treskie noises*

Oh well. It will be okay.

Question Time!
Best overall?
Favorite colored?
Best black and white?
Most interesting?

I know most of you had requests last week, and I will try to get to them soon! I SHALL TRY.

I love you all!

Picture Saturday-- April

Saying goodbye to people that you don't get to see that often is really hard.

*Angry Treskie noises*

You guys want a life update post this week?

I'm actually back now, I'm not just popping in to say hai only to disappear for another three weeks. Wooo!

*Le sigh*

Let's get going on the first Picture Saturday since... eeeeee, the beginning of March? Wow, I didn't realize it had been that long.

Unfortunately there's not a lot to actually post, because most of last month was taken up with a super-secret art project I was working on for my brother's wedding. And since I only finished it about the same time I got back from Montana (like two days before the wedding), taking pictures of it totally didn't cross my mind, so I'll have to ask Joe for it back before I can show you guys what it was. I was very proud of it. Ehem.

Right, bragging's over now.

1.) Usually if I'm drawing, my mood comes out in my art. So angrily sketching faces results in... angry face sketches....

2.) Finished Agent Carter s2, and commenced the fanart because.... That finale...! (Yeah, I know, I really need to start using reference pictures when I fanart because the people don't really look like they're supposed to...)

3.) Not wild about his face because it doesn't look like him, but daaaaaang those shoulders....

4.) The super-uber quick one that I did while waiting for my private lesson...

5.) KAY I NEED TO COLOR THIS ONE BECAUSE REASONS.

6.) The I-have-no-idea-what-I'm-doing...

7.) Let your hair flow freeee!

8.) The one that I liked until I looked at it again and now I'm thinking her head is a little... misplaced.
Also, I really wish my sketchbook was a little bit smaller, because it's too big for the scanner and hence, I get funky dark splotches on my scans and it's really irritating.

9.) The art that turned out so well it doesn't even look like my art.

10.) The one that Tyler Ward noticed...WHICH WOULD HAVE TURNED OUT A LOT BETTER IF I'D HAD MORE TIME.

No, but seriously Tyler Ward saw it and it made my daaaaaaay.

11.) Here, have a really terrible pianist sketch... that I actually like and I don't know why.

12.) And finally, have the girl who emotes sadness, because I drew her this afternoon.

Alrighty, everyone, thanks for sticking around when I ditched you!

Question time!

Favorite overall?
Favorite black and white?
Have you seen s2 of Agent Carter?
Do you ever think your art is good, until you look at it again and decide, "Eeeh, no?"
Did you miss me?

Love ya!
