October {4}

I was going to come up with this excellent story for why Picture Saturday is actually Picture Monday.

It was going to involve time travel.

It would have been hilarious.

I'm too tired to come up with a hilarious time travel story. So I'm sorry this is two days late, and short on pictures. It was just an off-week.

Today I was cranky.

I was really cranky.

But I watched Hawaii Five-0, chatted with someone, and now I am considerably less cranky.

Anyway, this week in drawings, we have some interesting art work, consisting 95% of Tristan and Gang..... Primarily Tristan and Kate because I'm a sap.

1.) So first of all. Our heater has been having issues. Sometimes it refuses to turn on, no matter how cold it is. This causes much distress, seeing as it's been rather chilly lately. I've been wrapped up in blankets, like a little burrito of angst.

Anyway, this prompted someone to suggest I draw Kate all bundled up, and so I did. Coincidentally, her heater's out too. She blames Tristan. He probably did something to it.

2.) Speaking of Kate and Tristan. I had this great idea that after everything goes down, and the battle is won, and a certain someone* has died in a glorious hailstorm of self-sacrifice, Tristan finds Kate and very awkwardly asks her on a date. AND IT'S ADORABLE.

*who's name shall remain mentionless.

3.) And then Kate, who was totally not expecting such cutes from Tristan, gets all embarrassed cause she's not dressed for a date...

4.) Soooo, she tells him to give her ten minutes, and rushes about like a fool. When she comes back, she's awfully self-conscious because Tristan's never really seen her dressed up. (They've been waging war on an Evil Company run by Max's Evil Brother, SO SHE HASN'T HAD TIME TO DRESS UP, OKAY?)

5.) And Tristan's hard little heart just melts.

Yep. It's official, Treskie ships her own characters. And she need some serious help ASAP.

BUT CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW CUTE THEY ARE TOGETHER? THEY'RE ACTUALLY ADORABLE.

6.) And moving on quickly before things get too awkward. One of my friends really loves the word "nefarious." Uses it all the time. And once, used the sentence, "It's a cesspool of nefariousness." Which I immediately stole for Max, because that's such a Max thing to say.

Yep, he's a dork, that Max. He's a lovable dork.

7.) In other news, Jack asked me to draw Japhet teaching his daughter how to dance, and I think that's cute. (You should read that book. It has many feels. Some of those feels were my idea, YOU'RE WELCOME.)  Jack mentioned that Japhet's hair is probably receding... Receding hair is hard.

8.) And there's this quote that Edward says in FMAB, which I thought was a really good point. (Have I mentioned that Edward is a tiny cupcake full of awesomeness and daddy issues?)

Yeah, this blogger needs help. She needs a lot of help. And sleep. She should sleep more.

Anyway, I'm going to Front Sight in like... a week and a half, and I have many fears. Look at me, venturing out of my tiny comfort zone! I am scared to death.

Question Time!
Favorite overall?
Best Tristan and Gang?
Am I getting to sappy for you guys?
Anyone here ever been to Front Sight?

I love you all!

Treskie's blogging, and it's the 8th Wonder of the World.

MINIONS!!!!

Hello!

So as you might have suspected, this dorky potato took a bit of a blogging break, because A.) she was really busy, and B.) she was blocked on everything from drawing to blogging to existing.*

*It was a trying time.

But I think the blocks have mostly gone, and I'm trying to work blogging back in, because I LIKE blogging and I miss it when I don't.

If all goes well we might even have a Picture Saturday!*

*maybe

I do apologize for this lack of everything, and I'll try to be better.

So! Here's what happened in my life:

1.) I finished Lockwood & Co and became rather sad, because after reading Lockwood & Co, I only wanted to read about Lockwood and Lucy and George. And since book 3 isn't out yet, I had to make do with the final Percy Jackson book.

2.) Speaking of which, I hated the last Percy Jackson book. I will never read it again. It was terrible, and I'm mad! I might have to do a post on it, because after finishing the series, I don't think I can publicly recommend Percy Jackson anymore.

3.) On a happy note, I'm twenty now! And my cousin came up for a visit, and it was just a really awesome birthday. (Last year's might have sucked a little.)

Art supplies, and a freaking baseball glove (!!!), and a bullet-knife (looks like a bullet, but it's a knife.) and a $25 dollar gift certificate to B&N. Chocolate! Life is good, people. Life is GOOD.

I have a new tote bag. I use it way too much.

Also, I have a Supernatural Clue Game. I HAVE A SUPERNATURAL CLUE GAME. (be jealous, Cait.) The people in my life know me way too well. I'm gonna swap out Cas's character for John, but yeah. Good game, quite fun.

4.) Bella and I helped Amy film the video for the song she sang.

It was raining quite hard the whole time, but I got this really awesome picture of the rainbow.

I did absolutely nothing to this picture and it's beautiful, and I think it looks like a freaking fairytale.

6.) My solo for voice class went really well, I think, and if you want, you can watch it here. I was happy with it, but it sounded better live. lol.

7.) I'm re-reading the whole Penderwicks series because they're clean, they're fun, and they remind me of my family. (And because I just read the last book, cried many copious tears over it, and decided a re-read was in order.) I'm working on characters sketches of the people in the book, which also consists of pulling my hair out because I care a lot about these characters and it's hard for me to draw what I care about.

8.) We FINALLY have a frozen yogurt place in town and I can die happy now.

9.) Happy 4th of July, by the way, to all my American followers! *distant cheering from Americans. Fireworks. Explosions. So patriotic. Distant groaning from everyone else.*

I love the 4th of July, it's always such a nice day, and I always feel the need to sing The Star Spangled Banner at the top of my voice. "AND THE ROCKET'S RED GLARE! THE BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR! GAVE PROOF THROUGH THE NIGHT, THAT OUR FLAG WAS STILL THERE!" I mean, maybe it's just me, but I think it's a more invigorating song than most national anthems.*

*shots fired

Toink may have sat in a puddle. She might have then asked me to document it.

It rained all day on the 4th. Our back road was a giant puddle, and we almost cancelled s'more making. (But we didn't, and Chloe was so happy.)

It was a good day despite that, and we made fun of the rain. Because when you say, "Toink, make a mad face!" she does and it's adorable.

10.) Who else is gonna go watch the Minion movie in theaters? Because I am. Because minion. movie.

11.) Now I shall finish reading Lark before I have to go to work. (Seriously, James is one of the single most attractive guys in bookish history.)

Cheers, bai, and God bless!

Treskie out.

Picture Saturday-- Ahem.

Picture Saturday has not reared it's ugly head in a good.... what, three weeks?

I am ashamed.

But I had to go to a wedding, and then it was Mother's Day week, and I was really very busy.

Anyway, there is rather a lot of Phantom stuff again.

My friend asked me how our musical high was going.

I told her it's still going strong.

The minion represents me, and the banana represents the
Phantom of the Opera, and other musicals I'm obsessed with.

We listened to POTO again last night, and I've lost count of how many times that is in a month.....

Yeah, when we decide to obsess, we obsess.

I really want to listen to the Scarlet Pimpernel musical again, but that is only at the college library, and for some reason the college library freaks me out. ME! I love libraries! But the college one has this atmosphere like, "IF YOU MAKE A NOISE WE WILL DEMOLISH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. DON'T BLINK, DON'T EVEN BLINK. BLINK AND YOU'RE DEAD." and as such I still haven't worked up the courage to go in and find the stupid CD.

(Speaking of musicals, I might need to do a post comparing and contrasting the original Newsies movie and the Newsies Broadway musical, because.... because reasons.)

RIGHT! So, shall we get this thing going?

1.) Here, we have the colored versions of the Steampunk girls I drew last time.

2.) A couple of my sisters informed me that this one is the Steampunk version of Jack, and after some dubious eyeballing of this picture, I have come to agree. So here, Steampunk Jack for you.

3.) The lady inventor, because she's funny and I like her, and I think I've named her Veronica.

4.) This one is basically me when I get up in the morning. Expression and all.

Yes, I turn into Gollum, got a problem with that?

5.) Amy told me that if I want to illustrate kids books, I should maybe start drawing kids. She had a point, so I drew horribly disproportionate children, and they're adorable.

6.) I did not really like how disproportionate they were, so sad-little-crying-girl came next.  ( Again, I don't know why there are weird splotches, but oh well.)

7.) Random dancing girl with fabulous hair.

8.) DAREDEVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Because blind Catholic superheroes are the BEST. OHMYGOODNESS.

No, I didn't mess up when I wrote 'purpose' in pen, why would you think that?

9.) Bad, bad sketches. I don't know why I only had blue and pink colored pencils with me, but the girl looks slightly maniacal, and something went horribly wrong with that ballerina.

10.) Sometimes I can't draw.

11.) And then we have another gigantic batch of Phantom fanart because I have no life. (But I do love my musicals.)

I tried a new angle for Think of Me, and I firmly believe that it will look less weird when I color it in.

11.) One of the times I listened to it, I realized that Christine's last word in the musical is 'morning', and the Phantom's last word is 'night.' And for some reason that contrast made me really sad. So....

12.) This one I'm working on right now. When it's done the Erik and Raoul will be standing on stairs, and it will be colored and I plan on making it fabulous....

If you can tell me the lyrics to this part, I will give you cyber brownies.

13. And finally.... (you guys are probably SO happy...) We have that part where he leads her through the mirror and they do that song with the note that I can't hit.*

*cries all the tears*

And with that, I think I'm going to bid you all a very fond farewell, try to maybe catch up on Supernatural so I can watch the really painful finale when it airs, and pray that the sun comes out, because it's been gray for over a week now, and I'd really like some bright days now, please and thank you.

Which picture is your favorite?
Who do you ship Christine with? (Bearing in mind that I'm planning on doing a post defending my ship sometime soon.)
Do you listen to musicals?
Do you like Steampunk?

I love you all!

Treskie out.

So this.... Happened.

In my last post, I mentioned that a couple things happened last week that made me go, "Wow. I'm blessed, hawt dang!"

I didn't talk about them really because I didn't have pictures. But now I do! SO! I'mma tell you.

The first good thing that happened... Was actually a week and a half ago. But anyway, I ordered a bracelet and it didn't arrive when it was supposed to, (no big deal, misunderstanding. I was actually fine with it.) But when the package arrived, I opened it up, and besides the bracelet there was also this necklace with my name on it.

MY NAME WAS ON A NECKLACE AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT AND IT SORT OF MADE MY WEEK.

thanks, dear. :)

And then Kit, Amy, and I got lifetime Front Sight memberships for free. Those things cost a fortune usually, and because we know people we got them for free. It was so awesome! FRONT SIGHT.

All the happy!!!!

I'M GONNA SHOOT STUFF. WHOOOOOOOOOO!

Another epic thing was that we finally freaking got WIFI.

 FINALLY

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm not gonna lie, after the guy who figured out why it wasn't working left, I did a little dance of joy in our flat because... we haven't WiFi for a good, um... six months, and that's a long time, folks. So yeah, I can finally blog at my own place and the novelty of this makes me flail a little.

But hands down, the best thing that happened last week was the biggest shock.

Let me set it up for you, kay?

It was almost closing time at the flower shop, and Amy and I were the only ones there, getting ready to start locking doors and doing the cash out. I peered outside and I saw my brother's car pull in to the parking lot, followed like five seconds later by this lovely Land Rover Discovery, (Which.... as most of you know, are kind of my dream cars.)

So anyway, people pile out and Joe came in with Maria, and Kat, and Jess (who's cute). He hands Amy and I this little package, and inside are two sets of keys.

Yeah, you guessed it. My brother, (who is more awesome than your brother) bought us a Landy.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGGGGH!

WE HAVE A LANDY. AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL AND SHINY AND.... OURS.

It was seriously the most unexpected and insane thing that's ever happened to me..... And it took me a little while to wrap my head around it. Just... still kind of speechless. How do you even go about being properly thankful for that?

Meet Jarvis.

Jarvis is beautiful.

Jarvis is fabulous, even when we have to put gas in it.

Jarvis is our precious!! AAAAAAH, I'm still just sort of having a hard time comprehending that he's ours.

So.. ehem. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Joey! Best surprise ever! You are the coolest and most awesome big brother ever, and... and....! Just yes. Love ya. :)

Did anything good happen to you guys lately, or am I alone in my happiness? Let me knoooow.

Cheers!
