Picture Saturday || Once again on Sunday.

Basically I need to start writing my blog posts on Friday so that I can publish them on Saturday, because for the foreseeable future I have plans on the weekend. WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE?

Next week I'm going to post on Saturday if it friggen kills me.

But this week we had a friend come up over the weekend to watch Daredevil, because she hadn't seen it yet... (Rawr, Matt, rawr.)

Tristan and gang and I had a falling out. Basically they came up with an idea for Max's character, and I said, "No!" very violently, and they keep insisting that it would break people's hearts if Max did the Thing. But I refuse to let Max do the Thing, so now they are not speaking to me, nor I them, and therefore I have not drawn them.

I will not draw them until they behave.

(I will beat some sense into Max, because no, Max will not do the thing. I will not let him.)

So yeah, no Tristan and gang this week, which is sad, because I love them, even when they're being naughty.

Instead, we have musicals and stuff.

1.) I have tried to stifle POTO pictures, because I love you guys. One can only stifle a thing for so long. I'm going to color this in, because it could be awesome colored.

2.) Here, have this really freaking ugly thing. Suffice to say, I hate this picture and I'm going to work on black and blue hair because hers kind of sucks. (Also, the blue eye shadow is a bit much.)

3.) So I got stuck at Home Base for a while one day... and I didn't have anything to do, so I stole some of my sister's school paper and her pencil and did what I do best.

4.) Yeah, I was really bored. *Crosses eyes at you.*

5.) I love drawing love, it's fun and... yeah. I'm a sap, deal with it. (Argh, I need to color this one too!)

6.) Because when Lily sings this to Archie, it gives me major feelz.

7.) Sometimes my doodles scare me with the bad proportions and scary eyes. (BUT I SORT OF PROMISED YOU GUYS I WOULD POST MY DUDS, SO THIS IS ME TRYING TO BE BRAVE AND POST DUDS.)

8.) Watching Daredevil sparked quick fanart because basically MATT IS EVERYTHING. (I need to go through and clean them up and color them in, but whatever, I'll post them next week.)

9.) Everything.

10.) Not even sorry.

I have lots to do this next month, and sometimes I get overwhelmed and want to curl up into a blanket burrito and do nothing but draw.

Instead I listen to musicals.

Like Finding Neverland-- Urgle. The amount of sad that musical has is ridiculous, but it's so good. Totally recommend that, it's getting to be one of my favorites. (Of like.. the millions that I have.) But I want to fanart for that.

ALSO A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which hysterical and reminds me of Gilbert and Sullivan. (And everyone's voice is amazing, and they're not pitchy...) So...I want to fanart for that too.

(Because I've Decided to Marry You is one of the funniest songs I've ever heard.)

It starts about 1:07

Yep, okay, that's me done. What's up with you guys?

Favorite colored?
Black and white?
Do you love Matt Murdock?
What art would you like to see more of??

Picture Saturday-- Ahem.

Picture Saturday has not reared it's ugly head in a good.... what, three weeks?

I am ashamed.

But I had to go to a wedding, and then it was Mother's Day week, and I was really very busy.

Anyway, there is rather a lot of Phantom stuff again.

My friend asked me how our musical high was going.

I told her it's still going strong.

The minion represents me, and the banana represents the
Phantom of the Opera, and other musicals I'm obsessed with.

We listened to POTO again last night, and I've lost count of how many times that is in a month.....

Yeah, when we decide to obsess, we obsess.

I really want to listen to the Scarlet Pimpernel musical again, but that is only at the college library, and for some reason the college library freaks me out. ME! I love libraries! But the college one has this atmosphere like, "IF YOU MAKE A NOISE WE WILL DEMOLISH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. DON'T BLINK, DON'T EVEN BLINK. BLINK AND YOU'RE DEAD." and as such I still haven't worked up the courage to go in and find the stupid CD.

(Speaking of musicals, I might need to do a post comparing and contrasting the original Newsies movie and the Newsies Broadway musical, because.... because reasons.)

RIGHT! So, shall we get this thing going?

1.) Here, we have the colored versions of the Steampunk girls I drew last time.

2.) A couple of my sisters informed me that this one is the Steampunk version of Jack, and after some dubious eyeballing of this picture, I have come to agree. So here, Steampunk Jack for you.

3.) The lady inventor, because she's funny and I like her, and I think I've named her Veronica.

4.) This one is basically me when I get up in the morning. Expression and all.

Yes, I turn into Gollum, got a problem with that?

5.) Amy told me that if I want to illustrate kids books, I should maybe start drawing kids. She had a point, so I drew horribly disproportionate children, and they're adorable.

6.) I did not really like how disproportionate they were, so sad-little-crying-girl came next.  ( Again, I don't know why there are weird splotches, but oh well.)

7.) Random dancing girl with fabulous hair.

8.) DAREDEVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Because blind Catholic superheroes are the BEST. OHMYGOODNESS.

No, I didn't mess up when I wrote 'purpose' in pen, why would you think that?

9.) Bad, bad sketches. I don't know why I only had blue and pink colored pencils with me, but the girl looks slightly maniacal, and something went horribly wrong with that ballerina.

10.) Sometimes I can't draw.

11.) And then we have another gigantic batch of Phantom fanart because I have no life. (But I do love my musicals.)

I tried a new angle for Think of Me, and I firmly believe that it will look less weird when I color it in.

11.) One of the times I listened to it, I realized that Christine's last word in the musical is 'morning', and the Phantom's last word is 'night.' And for some reason that contrast made me really sad. So....

12.) This one I'm working on right now. When it's done the Erik and Raoul will be standing on stairs, and it will be colored and I plan on making it fabulous....

If you can tell me the lyrics to this part, I will give you cyber brownies.

13. And finally.... (you guys are probably SO happy...) We have that part where he leads her through the mirror and they do that song with the note that I can't hit.*

*cries all the tears*

And with that, I think I'm going to bid you all a very fond farewell, try to maybe catch up on Supernatural so I can watch the really painful finale when it airs, and pray that the sun comes out, because it's been gray for over a week now, and I'd really like some bright days now, please and thank you.

Which picture is your favorite?
Who do you ship Christine with? (Bearing in mind that I'm planning on doing a post defending my ship sometime soon.)
Do you listen to musicals?
Do you like Steampunk?

I love you all!

Treskie out.
