Picture Saturday -- Stuff

Picture Saturday has become tricky for me.

Suffice to say I keep having to work on Saturday. And it's annoying.

ANYWAY, I like to think I've managed to keep up my drawing fairly well in spite of my job.... unfortunately, the pictures have become less than high quality because the only time I have time to draw is in the evening, when the lighting's bad, and I'm tired, so.. mostly we just have sketches.

First off! We have the failed Psych fan art which I gave up on cause it sucked. :)

The baseball picture that I mentioned last time I posted! This one's to the song Play-By-Play, which makes me all reminiscy about when I was in my tweens, playing baseball with all the neighborhood kids. It is one of my favorite songs, and I don't know why. Listen to it!

(The lyrics are in red, and the baseball quotes.... aren't. :)

And then we have the girl. She's odd, but I like her.

And then we have a ton of.... fan art.

Again sorry for the poor quality in the sketches and the pictures. The camera's acting a little funny.... and most of these were done fairly late at night.

And that's it, I'm afraid. I need to get ready for work. On my day off. ..... Yeah. I'm being a brat about it.

So I'm going to proof this and go, because I'm in a bit of a rush. Which picture is your favorite? TELLL MEEEEE!

And now I go to work.

Cheers!

    1. WHich... WHICH PICTURE!??!?!?! AAAAAH TELL ME!? OH the Cripple and the Churchmouse one? XD Hehehehe. I dunno exactly when it's going to be published... I literally JUST READ the first draft. ummmm. But yeah, when it comes out, buy it because it's her best yet. XD

I'm glad you liked the baseball one. I like the baseball one.

  2. I really love the girl you drew... and the baseball pics are nice, though I'm not a huge fan of baseball. What fandom are the last pictures from?

  3. Aww, I love 'em all! The one of Shawn and Gus isn't as accurate as you may have wanted, but I appreciate your effort to pay homage to their epic fist-bump. :)

The drawing of the girl (the “odd” one :), looks just like I pictured Rachel Elizabeth Dare from the Percy Jackson series! I don't even know why, since the only description I think I remember from the books is the color of her hair and eyes (Red and green, right? Maybe I'm making that up too though... nah, I'm sure that's right), and your picture is in black and white. Anywaaay, all nonsensical rambling aside, you drew the Rachel Elizabeth Dare of my imagination just perfectly. :)

Fan art? Of what book, or show, or movie, is this art fanning about? I need know because it's stinkin' adorable. :) Especially the one of the guy and the girl walking in the wind with their coats and scarves and the cutest pair of boots that-I'm-sure-I-couldn't-pull-off-but-wish-I-could. Love.

I can commiserate with your grief over perfectly good Saturdays being wasted at work. I think I've only had two Saturdays off this whole summer (and I had to use those to go to un-wished-for social events). Ha. I'm fine, really, but I can't wait for the craziness of work to be over so that I can read and sew and sleep again. ;)

    1. Hahaha. IT was nice of you to mention the Psych one. I'm trying to get up the courage to post my duds too. And heee. I'm glad you noticed the bro fist. XD

RACHEL DARE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS!!! But yeah, he didn't describe her that much. Red and green is correct though. And now that you mention it.... *eyeballs picture* I can actually see it too... like maybe a few years down the road when she's a little older. :) But thanks, that's a huge compliment, I LOVE the Percy Jackson books.

.... Fan art for Jack's book. It's her newest book and it's still in it's VERY FIRST draft... so it's rough, but it's my favorite of her's so far. It's WWII. I freaking love WWII. And... yeah. I'm a little obsessed. Hehehe, that one is one of my favorites too. THOSE BOOTS were based off the girl's in Holiday Inn, with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. Have you seen it? :)

I wouldn't even mind working Saturdays, if when I had a day off IT STAYED a day off. So far since I've started working, almost every day off I've had, I got called in, and I"m *tired* and I want a break.... and wooo, I've been working for like a month, and I'm already tired. *sigh* Oh well, I'll get used to it eventually. lol .

    2. I do admire you for showing us some of the less-perfect things that flow from your pencil... they assure us that you're still human. ;)

Percy Jackson is one of my faves too. One of my younger brothers pre-ordered the final book in the Heroes of Olympus series, so I've been chomping at the bit for its release. Soon!

I need Jack's book to be finished! If it was currently available I would have already bought it based solely on your fan art. Yep, I have seen Holiday Inn (and lurve it!). Now I need to give it a re-watch with special attention on footwear. :)

Oh, I know! My “schedule” is all cattywhompus too. It's more like how-'bout-you-work-every-single-day-except-for-a-random-one-here-or-there (oh, and also, here's-your-schedule-and-you-have-tomorrow-off-but-nevermind-actually-you-can-leave-early-today-but-can-you-please-come-back-tomorrow?). Heh. That one happened today. But I guess that's just adult life, huh? No more relaxed and enjoyable summer days, just endless toil and exhaustion (and money though... that's the brightest and bestest thing about jobs). :)

    3. G'aaaaaw. Dat was sweet. *Treskie proceeds to sing* BUT I'M OOOOOOOONLY HUMAN! AND I BLEED WHEN I FALL DOWN...." *cough* lol.

I was cranky at Rick Riordan for what he did to Nico's character though. I was angered. lol. But Percy is a naughty donkey and I love him sooo. XD

Heeeeeeeeeeee AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. I think that is possibly one of the nicest things about my art that anyone has ever said! *grin* It's really good.
Holiday Inn is one of my favorite old movies!

Cattywhompus schedules are never fun. lol but yeah, I can relate to your schedule, even though I think yours is possibly worst than my mine. I'm finally getting days off. I need to draw and work on my blog. XD

I'm really looking foward to Chrismas. I CAN FINALLY BUY STUFF FOR PEOPLE.

Cool! I have this whole picture book plotted in my head - Raymond Briggs style - but it's just finding the time to do it!

    3. I LOOKED AND THEY ARE FABULOUS.

      Hehehehe.

Oh really? You should just start doing a little bit of drawing every evening. Because the more *I* draw, the more I *want* to draw, so TRY and maybe you'll be finding more time without realizing it. XD
