Picture Saturday-- Odds and ends

BOOM! An entrance Kuzco could be proud off. (Hurhurhur)

This whole new laptop thing is tricky, because the mousepad is in the wrong spot and I keep scrolling. And it is so annoying.

Anyway, Picture Saturday is back!

Mostly, it's all artwork that I did for Jack after reading her newest rough draft. (I am obsessed. I am freaking her out with how obsessed.) So if you guys don't care for these as much, I get it. :)

I'm not wild about these too... but... I figured I'd post them anyway.

Those are lyrics from the Jekyll and Hyde musical. FYI.

Yeah. *cough* And I have more ideas for others to draw. I need a life.

And then we have the pitcher that I actually really hate. Like.... the whole picture is just wrong

Theeeen we have the really awkward one that I'm embarrassed to post. It's.... dark. I was feeling angry when I drew it. Don't you judge me.

I DON'T KNOW WHY. I DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE.
BUT SHE'S DEAD AND IT'S SAD.

But on a happier note, we have the adorable couple. I love couples! (they remind me a little of Percy and Annabeth, but I didn't intend them to.)

 Run.

And last but not least.... (And my favorite this week...) We have the quote that Amy asked me to illustrate.

I'm currently working on another picture collage like the Dance, Sing, Love one that I drew a few weeks ago. This one's about baseball. It's going to be fun. Anticipate! Eagerly! Lalalala!

Which drawing is your favorite? Did the death one freak you out?

Cheers!

Hai.

Five Random Facts:

1.) I have a laptop again!

I bought it. With my own money. (BECAUSE I WAS DESPERATE.)

This means blogging, and commenting, and emailing again.

I feel like I ought to say goodbye to my old one though. (maybe then, when I turn it on to get my pictures off... it won't... kill me.)

Apologies for the cruddy picture quality. *mobiles*

Dear Old Laptop,
I feel like I will miss you. (But, I'm not going to lie, you were kind of a pain the whole time we knew each other. Like... what was the deal with overheating and freaking out? I had to send you in for repairs twice, what's with that?) I liked your pretty design --butterflies are always awesome-- and how fast you were. I really liked how you operated with Windows 7, because Windows 7 is my favorite. If you hadn't sabotaged our relationship, I think we would have lasted a long time. But you kept having issues. I guess what I'm trying to say is, it's not me, it's you.

Dear New Laptop,
Still not sure about you. I mostly really like you, you're fast, you're sleek, you're black... black like the night. Batman would approve. You're bigger than I'm used to, though. But your keyboard gives me shivers of delight, and you're so quiet, it's a dream. I need to get used to Windows 8, because I don't like Windows 8. So you and me.... we need to get to know each other before I can decide if I'm head-over-heels in love with you.

2.) Bella and I video-chatted with Jack, and it was fun. (Naturally.... I mean, it was Jack.) At one point, Bella brought out Henry the Hedgehog, and Jack brought out Sammy the Moose, and we had them say hi, and it was cute.

3.) I made a ton of boutonnieres for someone's wedding today. I AM AWESOME.

4.) We finished the final episode of Psych this week.

I think I might have to do a review on Psych, because I kind of like doing reviews, when I'm in the mood. It's one of my favorite TV shows, and I think the series finale was fantastic. Everything I wanted to happen happened and that made my day.

5.) Here are some random pictures that I took. (If you want more, you can follow me on instagraaaaam!)

That's it. That's all I've got. YAY for new laptops, and camera phones.

Cheers and God bless.

Shhhhh, this post should have been up on Saturday.

Hello, hello, blogging friends!

Yes, I know. It's been over a week since my last post. This is frightful... I mean, how do you guys cope without me!? *coughCaitcough*

Let me explain. I have a job now. (All hail the brave Treskie for tackling that terror.) This isn't really an excuse though, because I've had plenty of days off.

In actuality, the reason I haven't blogged, it because.... last time I turned on my computer.... it did.... this.

NO REALLY. IT LITERALLY DID THAT. (maybe not to that extent, but there was definitely  smoke pouring out of it's intestines.)

Except it felt more like:

And then I went:

And was like:

And I haven't turned it on since. I hope I can salvage my pictures and stories. I need those to be okay.

And I miss my butterfly laptop. Do you know how hard it is to blog, email, and comment, without a computer? Not awesome.

I finally got around to drawing. I spent the last few afternoons on the back deck, deliciously overheated, sipping ice water, with my sketchbook on my lap and pinterest handy for inspiration.

So we have the cowboy.... crooning. Do cowboys croon? Whatever, he's strumming and singing and even though it's a rough sketch, I really like it.

And then we have the random couple because I have this thing for drawing couples. It's a fetish, really.

Then we have the song lyrics + dancer that I did to my current favorite Christina Perri song.

The picture I did to this quote I saw on pinterest. I might have totally teared up when I read it. Yep. Those are my emotions, running rampant.

Epically, I get to show you the commissions I did! lalala. Yes, I blurred out her name for privacy.

And finally: Agents! I'm really proud of this one. I think it turned out spiffingly.

What do you think? Yes, no, maybe? Which one's your favorite?

Unfortunately, since I'm borrowing someone's computer, that's where I'm going to end this here.

I love you all!

All hail American pride!

And yes, that means even the British.

We won that war.

*waves at British*

Hehehe. Okay enough.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light?
Once so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming.
Who's broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight...
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming.

And the rocket's red glare!
The bombs bursting in air!
Gave proof through the night
that our flag was still there!

Oh, say does that star spangled banner yet wave?
O'er the Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave.

I'm always proud of being American. I think we're awesome. I mean, yeah, there are going to be those idiots who give America a bad name. *cough certain leader cough.* But in general, America's pretty epic, and I consider myself quite lucky to be one.

But the Fourth always gets me like, "YAY 'MURICA. LAND OF THE FREE. RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS. HOME OF THE BRAVE! RA RA RA. ONE NATION UNDER GOD!

And frankly, anyone who says anything bad about my country on this day of independence is likely to get my independent fist in their subservient nose.

Today was nice. It was the first day off I've had all week, so I'm quite delighted to be home and not... at work.

Anyway, I always wear a combination of the flag's colors, because that's what I DO on the 4th. I also wore the necklace that Mahri made me. ('Cause Mahri made me a really, really awesome Winter Soldier inspired necklace. All you guys are now jealous. Mwuahaha.)

There was lots of food, and talking. We do that. Today, talk was mostly Prison Break. We do talk fandoms.

On a random note, it was my birthday a few days ago. Thanks to my brother I am now the proud owner of a pretty new phone.

LALALALALALALALALALA.

On another note, I have been working all day, every day, all week this week.... Yay, adulting.

This means I've been too tired to draw. Sadness!!

..... that's all for tonight.... because I'm tired, it's the Fourth of July, (yay, Murica!) and we're watching Psych.

Cait, watch this after Prison Break.

God bless America!

FIGHT THE FAIRIES!
