Picture Saturday + Update

There is so much going on in the living room right now.

Nothing special, just kids running around screaming "you fight the fairies!" (which, I'll admit, was my bad, for shouting "Fight the fairies!" in the first place.) There are people singing loudly to Taylor Swift and Hayley Westenra. Bella is sitting next to me cackling in fiendish glee over someone's pain regarding The Winter Soldier. The dogs are barking. I keep feeling the urge to read aloud hilarious pinterest pins.

I'm really distracted.

*crosses eyes*

RIGHT. Picture Saturday. I'm not gonna lie, this week was a bomb when it came to drawing. I did not feel like drawing.

So we have two. We have the one I did, spur of the moment, before dinner.

YOU SMELL THOSE FLOWERS.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd! *drumroll* We have the Doctor Who fanart that I ended up being really proud of. It even looks like them!

Boom!

And now for the update.

* I've been re-reading the Gallagher Girls books. They're quite hilarious. There's something about the matter-of-fact way that Cammie says things that makes me chortle.

* My friend found out that I hadn't seen Lion King, Tarzan, or 101 Dalmatians. She was so indignant that we ended up having a sleepover and a movie marathon. (Cue insane cackle. Whatdoyoumean, toomuchcaffeine?)

*I have my driver's test on Tuesday.

I'M FREAKING OUT.

Please pray for me!

*It snowed again. It's cold and gray. Yay, spring!

*I'm almost done with making my etsy shop an actual thing. Lalalala. When it's up I shall post it and make a big deal about it. :)

*We're going to have tea and cookies and watch Red 2 tonight.

*I'm excited.

*That is all.

FIGHT THE FAIRIES!!

Yours sincerely:

Do you wanna take down Hydra?

So I saw this thing on pinterest:

And I sat there staring at it, thinking, "Bucky? Do you wanna take down Hydraaaa?"

But since Steve technically needs to save Bucky before they can take down Hydra, I figured that those lyrics wouldn't work.

So yesterday, Bella and I brainstormed, and came up with this, to the tune of the Do You Wanna Build a Snowman.

Let me know what you think, yeah????

SPOILERS, if you haven't seen the movie yet.

Bucky...? Are you the Winter Soldier?
Have you been him this whole time?
Now I don't know you anymore.
You've really changed for sure...
I thought that you had died.
We used to be best buddies,
and now we're not--
what happened to that guy?

Why don't you remember me?
You're name is really Bucky--

Who the hell is Bucky?

--You knew me....

So you're the Winter Soldier?
This really changes things, I know
They've turned you into someone new
what have they done to you?
Can you regain control?
(hang in there, bucky)
I don't want to have to kill you
You're my best friend...
When I had nothing, I had you
(winter soldier, winter soldier)

.......
.................
.... Bucky? Please, I know you're in there
I won't hurt you, you're my friend

You have to fight back
I believe in you
there's still good in you,
don't let them win.
I think you're still my best friend.
And I'm with you, pal
'til the end of the line.

  ......
You can beat the Winter Soldier.....

Tadaaaaaaaaaaa.
You like?
PLEASE LET ME KNOW, BECAUSE I'M VERY SELF-CONSCIOUS ABOUT IT.

Anyway...

WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING TO AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.?? I am overcome with feelings and hatred of a certain character who's name and gender shall remain anonymous. But daaaang. S.H.I.E.L.D. started off kind of slow and carefree....

And then all of the sudden....

Plot twists, and betrayals, and Hydra! and! ...And!

*headdesk*

I hate Hydra.

Will you help me take down Hydra?

Holy Picture Saturday

This post is going to pretty short, because it's late-ish, and I don't want to spend the whole evening tippy-typing on mah puter.

I DREW A THING

Today was nice. Joe and I went out and got Easter clothes for Chloe and Sammie, and then we got baking supplies for delicious deserts for tomorrow. When we got home, I thoroughly cleaned my room, and the house, and dyed eggs, and decorated cookies... (Let me tell you, decorating cookies and making deserts is a lot harder to do when you're not allowed to snack on their lusciousness... Lent, you know.)

Courtesy of Joey. Deemed best egg this year.

And now we're having tea and poppy seed muffins, and thinking awesome thoughts about tomorrow.

When the kiddies go to bed, we big kids shall stuff Easter baskets and hide said baskets and... Wow I'm tired.

I'm going to leave how.

Happy Windsday, Eeyore!

Contrary to what y'all may be thinking, this post is not about the adorable and loveable Pooh Bear.

Nope.

It is however, about a windy day.

And kites.

(It would have been a lot cooler if it had been on Wednesday, because Windsday and Wednesday sound alike. But as it is, it's Thursday, which is much less cool.)

School was done (much to this first grade teacher's delight) and I was inside doing vocal warm-ups. (The parents were gone, and this usually results in me standing by the piano, going: *Plink* "MeeeEEEEOOOOOOooooo." *higher plink* "MeeeEEEEEEOOOOOOooooo." *higher plink* "MeeeEEEEEOOOOOOOOoooo!" *cue glass shattering at my epic high notes.)

I was at the height of a high E.... (Lies. I can only hit D♭, and only when I'm really warmed up.) .... When all four of the little girls came running in going, "Treskie, if we do lunch dishes, can you take us to the meadow? Pleeeaaase?"

How could I say no to four imploring pairs of eyes? (Also, I really didn't feel like doing lunch dishes, so that was a plus.)

So we got our stuff together and hiked awa' to the meadow.

"Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height!
Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Oh, let's go fly a kite!"

At first it was perfect kite flying weather, and the kite's took off with a great sort of eagerness that made all the wee'ans cheer with delight.

Such much. (It's fun to say that. Say it. Say such much and tell me if you didn't have fun.)

By the end, unfortunately, the wind had picked up to gale-like proportions and they spent a great majority of the time tending to crashed kites which could not fly under such circumstances.

Like so.

Eventually most of them gave up and did other things. Sammie climbed a tree and got herself stuck.

I brought my notebooks and attempted to write.

I took a moment to do Annie's hair in a five strand braid, because she couldn't handle it in her face.

And then basically everything morphed into a photoshoot.

All in all, not a bad day.

Yours Sincerely:
The Frenchiest Fry
