CONFETTI, IT'S A PARAAADE!

"THIS IS THE END," Treskie bawls at the top of her lungs, "HOLD YOUR BREATH AND COUNT TO TEEEEN."

It's the last day and the happiness I feel is epic.

Don't get me wrong, I think  I'm glad I did this. I actually liked having a prompt and posting every day for a month.

But it got really old, really, really fast.

I will not be doing another one of these for a while, if ever. It gets boring! And I'm pretty sure you guys were bored too.

If not:

If so:

I apologize.

Anyway.

Day Thirty:Your favorite song at this time last year

I'm pretty sure this time last year I was obsessed with Il Volo.

Like, to the point where I informed my mother (in jest, of course) that I was going to marry the middle guy.

*Cough*

So here's one of my favorites.

This Time

Tell me you're in
Tell me I'm home
Promise you'll stay
And don't let me go.

I'm waiting for a sign
So tell me that it's real this time.

Let me in
kill this doubt
'Cause from this high it's a long way down.
Break my fall catch me now.

Tell me you're in
Tell me I'm home
Promise you'll stay
And don't let me go.

I'm waiting for a sign.
I need to know it's real this time.

Isn't it purty?

And now I shall away.

And I shan't be blogging tomorrow.

MWHAHAHAHAHA!

Cheers and God bless.

IT'S OVER.

Soon. Sooon. SOOOOOOOON.

Day twenty-nine
A song from your childhood.

I sat here forever puzzling about this stupid song.

I literally couldn't remember a single song from my childhood that I wanted to post.

For real.

I even called Amy and asked for help. And she, being a nice sister, threw out loads of suggestions. To all of which, I kept saying, "Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Noooopety no. WHAT!? NO! Never listening to that again. Nope."

I almost posted the 50 States that Rhyme song. But I couldn't find the version I wanted. (it's thanks to that song that I can list every State without hesitation.)

So I rejected some more of Amy's ideas before finally coming up with my own.

This song's always been one of my favorite oldies. My dad used to sing it all the time, and I dunno. It just makes me happy to listen to it. Which is weird, because it's really kind of sad. Hehehe!

Rhythm of the Rain
The Cascades

Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain,
telling me just what a fool I've been.

I wish that it would go and let me cry in vain.
And let me be alone again.

The only girl I care about has gone away
Looking for a brand new start

But little does she know
That when she left that day
Along with her she took my heart

Rain please tell me now does that seem fair
For her to steal my heart away when she don't care
I can't love another when my hearts somewhere far away

Yeah, that song makes me happy. There's something wrong with me.

....................

Tomorrow is the last day and I freaking can't wait.

I'm so tired of this challenge, you guys.

I'm pretty sure you are too.

I have officially inundated you with my music.

*Pompoms*

But it's going to be over!!!!!!!

Cheers!

Day twenty-eight

A song that makes you feel guilty

Heh.

Okay, see here's the thing.

If something makes me feel guilty, my first inclination is to think it's probably a sin and/or not good for my soul. And therefore, I tend to avoid it.

Yeah. Deeeeeep, right?

So anyway, I don't actually listen to very many songs that make me feel guilty. I can name a few that have swears, which I am slightly ashamed to like, but since they have  swears, I don't want to post them.

Sooooooo.

There's this one Nickelback song that I don't even know why I find kind of cool. It's really kind of dark and grim. I'm fairly sure they wrote it after someone they knew got into drugs and stuff.

It's really loud and angry, and way more 'heavy metal' than I usually listen to. So if you don't listen to it, I would totally get why.

I think I just really like the part that goes:

"Tell me what you know.
Tell me what you've gone and done now."

*Coughs, a little awkwardly*

STOP JUDGING!!!!

Just for kicks, I found the best ever description of my current fandoms.

Only two days left.

Praise heaven!

FIGHT THE FAIRIES!!!!!!!!

Goodbye.

Sunday, October 27, 2013

I am so done with this challenge.

You guys.

You guys!

You GUYS!

Guess what! There's only three more days of this freaking challenge and then I'm done! Whaaaat!

*Happiness*

Anyway, yeah.

Day twenty-seven:
A song you wish you could play

I'm planning, once I have money, to take guitar classes at the college. Because it's a skill I'd really love to acquire, and it would be cool to sing and play guitar at the same time.

I have such  high ambitions.

*Shakes head*

Anyway, a song I wish I could play.... is.....

Changing Colors
By Josh Groban
Obviously

When the wind takes you, it takes me too.
And when you change colours, I'll change mine too.
Try not to think, and I will try too
And when you let go, I will let go too

I listen to this song and get all like, "Jooooooooooooooshhhhhhhhhhhh. You have the best lyyyyyriiiiiiiiicssssss. Why are you so aaaawwwweeeeeeessssooooooooooomeeeeeeeeee?"

I watched The Magic of Ordinary Days today.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaang. That movie is freaking awesome! And adorable! Askfjdalasfj;akdfjaf.

THAT GUY IS THE SWEETEST MOVIE CHARACTER I HAVE EVER SEEN. FOR REAL.

Watch it. It's super clean and so sweet. Gah. So much love.

You guys, I cannot wait for this challenge to be over. I'm pretty sure it shows because my posts are getting more and more random, and shorter by the day. lol.

I'm going to go save the world now.

And now I'm going to semi-quote the Three Amigos.

"Wherever there is injustice, you will find me.
Wherever there is suffering, I'll be there.
Wherever liberty is threatened you will find....
The extremely strange bloggerrrrrrrrrr!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to shoot in the Invisible Horseman.

Goodbye.

Day twenty-six

A song you can play on an instrument.

I'm going to make this post super short, because I had a long day, and I am pooped. :)

I'm not much of an instrument player. I used to play french horn, but I got into singing more, and I was never really passionate about it.

But there is one song I was really good at. French horns get the main melody in it, and it's pretty. (The movie's not that great. It's not that bad, but it's not that great.)

Yep.

I'm so tired right now, you guys.

Good night.

*hugs*

*Wheeze*

Day twenty-five: a song that makes you laugh.

Ehem.

This is Tim Hawkin's version of Hey There, Delilah.
IT'S HILARIOUS

Hey there, Delilah
This is your ex-boyfriend Samson
I know you thought that lifting weights
Made me so buff and handsome
You were wrong
It’s cause I let my hair grow long
That makes me strong

ANYway. I have to keep this short because I have company, and it's rude to be on the computer all evening when you have company.

FIGHT THE FAIRIES!!!!!!!!

CHEERS!

Day twenty-four

A song you want to play at your funeral

Are you for freaking real!?

To be honest, I've never really thought much about my funeral. It's not really something I go into. I'm more of a "When I die, I'm going to face God and be judged." which obviously.... takes priority.

But um, let's see.

I'm finking....

Allegri's Miserere is really rather beautiful. (You don't have to listen to it all, the thing last like ten minutes.)

English translation:

Have mercy upon me, O God, after Thy great goodness
According to the multitude of Thy mercies do away mine offences.
Wash me throughly from my wickedness: and cleanse me from my sin.

I mean, seriously. Wow. Doesn't that make your heart hurt a little?

And now I'm going because I have stuff to do.

Cheers!

*Smash head on keyboard*

Hello.

Hi there.

Wazzuuuup.

Hallo.

BOO!

BORED!

DOCTOOOOOOOOOOOOOR!

MOOSE!

PIE!

Day twenty-three:

A song that you want to play at your wedding.

Oh, music mostly. *snerk*

Naturally, it has to be something awesome, because it'll be at my wedding, and my wedding must have awesome  music, because... it's.... my.... wedding.

I don't know, you guys. I'm feeling particularly weird tonight.

.............
.............
.............

FIGHT THE FAIRIES!

Whatever.

Oh yeah. Song.

When You Say You Love Me
by Josh Groban

When you say you love me,
the world goes still,
so still inside.
And when you say you love me
For a moment,
There's no one else alive

It's like, one of the best songs in the history of ever. For realz. Who can't love those lyrics?

I feel like Franck, from Father of the Bride. "The man es a g'nius. We need his mind."

Anyway. Yeah. I'm done now.

Actually, no. This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. It's priceless.

Cheers!

Stuff. And more stuff. And what does the fox say?

Uuuhhnnggg.

I've backspaced that first line like a bazillion times, trying to think of something awesome  to say.

Unfortunately, nothing came to mind, so uuuhhnnggg is all you're going to get. *smirk*

But hey ho, here we go. Several of us ventured out to a great and beauteous valley full of trees and autumness yesterday!

We brought books, and food, and coffee, and it was freaking epic.

Seriously. It was gorgeous.

So we feasted and talked about fictional characters.
And then carved our names into a fallen tree. (since it was already dying, we did not feel guilty, carving it up.)

And proceeded to take full advantage of the beautiful scenery and have photo shoots.

See my cute new boots? Happiness, right there.

Yeah, it was really, really fun. I think it's good for the soul to be outside on days like that.

"Earth's crammed with heaven,
and every common bush afire with God."
-- Elizabeth Barrett Browning

I've been feeling really random lately. Because I am a fool, and wondered what the big whoop was about Ylvis the Fox, I looked up that video.

Yeah, I'm a moron.

Now, I go around sporadically yelling, "WHAT DOES THE FOX  SAY!?" at my little sisters who obligingly chorus, "Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!"

My mother is going to lose her mind soon.

On top of that, because of this one silly episode of Supernatural, I've taken to roaring, "FIGHT THE FAIRES!" at random intervals and cackling fiendishly to myself.

Speaking of Supernatural, I'm a little embarrassed, but I decided to post the Dean inspired outfit. I feel cool when I wear it. How sad is that?

Aaaand now! For the challenge.

sigh.

Day 22: A song you listen to when you're sad

When I'm sad, I listen to sad songs.

So I can be more sad. Haha!

Actually, no. I listen to sad songs-- or rather-- melancholy songs, because they help me get my emotions out. So hmmm. Here's one.

Is Nothing Sacred Anymore by Russell Watson

Is nothing sacred anymore?
Is forever just another word?
Is a promise something people used to keep
When love was worth fighting for?

If we can say good-bye,
If we can say good-bye,
Is nothing sacred anymore?

Sad song.

.... ... ... ... FIGHT THE FAIRIES!

Cheers!
