"Out of Sight, Out of Time"

                               OPERATIONS REPORT

On the thirtieth of March, 2012, Teresa DeLallo (hereafter referred to as Operative DeLallo) engaged in book shopping at Barnes&Noble with fellow operatives KDLallo, IDeLallo, CDaLallo, ADeLallo, and JDeLallo. At approximately 10:30am, Operative KDeLallo brought a book to Operative DeLallo's attention. The latter gripped aforementioned book in an excited death grip, and upon leaving the bookstore, carried the book out legally in a B&N bag.
By 5pm, Operative DeLallo was a third of the way through the book.
On March thirty-first, at approximately 11:15am, she was attempting to finish the last ten chapters. By 11:20am, she was cranky with Operative Mom because she would not leave the former in peace. At 11:30, Operative DeLallo was even crankier for the same reason.
At almost exactly 12:45pm, Operative DeLallo successfully finished the book. Her actions left her in such a state of mind that she felt it necessary to blog about it in the same form of writing that the main character (Operative Cameron Morgan) would use.

PROS AND CONS OF READING THE LATEST BOOK IN THE GALLAGHER GIRLS SERIES:

PRO: You finally get to read it.

CON: You were expecting the series to end....because the fifth book of a series would seem a good place to conclude the story...and it didn't. At all.

PRO: You get to read more about Zack Goode (*faints*)

CON: You need to wait at least another year before the next book comes out.

CON: That's an incredibly long time.

PRO: You get the thrill of knowing that there is another book coming.

CON: It's still a long time.

PRO: The book inspires you to start writing your own stories again.

In other words, people, it's time to read Out of Sight, Out of Mind. I mean...wouldn't you feel bad for Cammie if she has amnesia? And because the Circle of Cavan is still trying to kill her? Wouldn't you want to know how she figures out what happened to her dad? And wouldn't you want her to get along with Bex again? Plus...Zack is cool. I'm so glad I bought it!

Ooops.

                                       Five Random Facts

1.)  I am a horrible blogger. So I have made a belated New Year's Resolution and will try to do a new post at least once a week.

2.)  I'm a little obsessed with the James Herriot books.

3.)  I love babysitting.

4.) People who drink themselves unconscious deserve to have a hangover!

5.) British people have the loveliest accents.

So I've been drawing a bit lately. I acquired a new sketch book. I quite like it.

I was going through some of my old drawings, and came upon this one. I don't remember drawing it. But when I found it I thought, "Dang, I'm good." LOL. My landscape things need work.

This one I drew while I was in Kansas. I quite fancy it.

I've been very sketch-ish lately.

Her arms are too short. But she's cute anyhow. =)

And now the one I just finished last night. Isn't they a cute couple?

See, I have been busy! =) God Bless.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

There's almost nothing nicer than a feast day in Lent. St. Patrick's Day is a feast day, which means I get to slack off a little on my Lenten penances.
     This is awesome.

Somewhat less awesome was waking up to this:

           And this:

And THIS:

Yeah. Outside and shoveling very wet, very heavy snow before eight in the morning was not my idea of a real fine time. But it made everything look pretty

I really got into the spirit of St. Patrick's day this year. Usually I wear green and that's about it. This year I did do some fun things:

I did my hair in a special hairstyle, using my green flexi8 :

I also got a bit obsessed with the whole "hair" thing and did all of my little sister's hair in intricate and cute hairstyles. In the process I managed to spill an entire bottle of nail polish remover, effectively smelling up the entire house. **Grins sheepishly** Let's just say that I was not a popular person for a while.

After that, I made lager shandies for Katrina and myself and we had some fun crackers along with them. There's nothing quite so effective as....green lager shandies to keep you in the St. Patrick's Day spirit. :-)

I have to admit. I was dubious about drinking it when it was such a remarkable shade of green. But as long as I didn't look at it while I drank, I was okay.

Having thus indulged in lager shandies, we began to feast. Call me bias, but I'm pretty sure we have some of the best corned beef and cabbage ever. I mean...

Just look at it!

When that was done, I whipped up a quick batch of shortbread and my little sister made coffee, and we settled down to enjoy ourselves.

While we enjoyed ourselves, I drew a picture of St. Patrick.

I'm rather proud of it. But poor St. Patrick has a rather...odd face. :) Sorry, I can't seem to resist pointing out the defects of my drawings.

We've effectively closed the day by watching The Quiet Man

So that's it. Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!
                                             God Bless.

Back From Vacation--And I've Been Tagged Again!

Hello all!

     Five Random Facts:

1.) It's a very sad story when a vacation ends. Sniff.

2.) Big families will almost inevitably make dinner conversations hilarious.

3.) When you're with the right people, being locked out of your car when it's 46 degrees outside, (not to mention  that it was dark and we were all hungry.) is not that big of a deal. It didn't even matter that we had to sit in my brother's car while we waited an hour for AAA to come and jimmy the lock. It was actually quite fun. :-)

4.) When one is used to playing badminton, switching to tennis can be a difficult transition. With badminton, you hit the birdie hard and up. With tennis if you do that, the ball goes flying out of the court and across the street where it'll probably bounce off the hood of someone's car. (Believe me, I know. Don't worry, the car was fine.) This is doubly embarrassing when one's brother is very good at tennis. lol.

5.)  Ip Man and Ip Man 2 are probably my favorite martial arts movies. Awesome. I totally recommend them. It makes me want to....learn martial arts. But seeing as that's never going to happen, I'll just do some Wii Boxing. (Wii boxing rocks. It can't be healthy for me to love knocking people out on there. So addictive! Plus, it's probably weird that I would like it, seeing as I'm a girl.... and a fairly girly girl compared to my sisters. lol. Still though, it's SUPER fun.)

Okay! Now for the game of tag. Katrina over at The World Crafter's Inkspot tagged me for the Lucky 7 Meme.

The rules are:
1.) Go to page 77 of your current manuscript.
2.) Go to line 7
3.) Copy down the next 7 lines, paragraphs, or sentences and post them as they're written.
4.) Tag seven authors
5.) Let them know.

Okay, I'm doing the seven sentences from my story....which has no title yet.

     My head hurts

Tess’s eyes fluttered open, blinking against the glare of a light. She didn’t remember what had happened until she tried to move her hand and found that she couldn’t. Then everything came back in a flash. The attack, the sweet smell…
Tess discovered that it was hard to scream around a gag.
“Hello,” said a voice behind her.

That's all. It's scary for me to even post part of my story here! I'm going to break the rules a bit, because I don't know that many authors. Sorry.

I'm tagging Amy over at Old Fashioned Girl
     Shealynne at Shealynn's Faerie Shoppe
I would tag Katrina but she tagged me so I doubt that would work.
I'll just leave it as is, whoever reads this, consider yourself tagged and leave your answer as a comment. :) Okay?

I Am On Vacation!

You would not believe how hard it is to maintain a blog while on vacation.

It just occurred to me how long it's been since my last post. **gasps** Shame, shame on me! My most sincere apologies.

I am currently in Kansas, visiting family and so far I'm having a wonderful time! Vacations rock.

So now: Five things that you really don't need to know.

1.) I get terrible travel anxiety. Bad.

2.) Airport security gives me the pip.
Adrian Monk UNDERSTANDS me. :)

 3) I watched an editited version of Shining Through and thoroughly enjoyed it.

4.) I'm not fond of the TV show Curious George. The books were way, way better.

 5.) I find this chocolate:

And this icecream:

                                                                               And this:

To be a most agreeable combination!
