I am a graceful fairy.
I am so excited for Christmas!
The baking is done, so is the gnocchi sauce for tomorrow, and just now, I'm sneaking in a quicky post before we open the fireplace, roast some chestnuts, an listen to Old Time Radio Shows.
It's kind of my personal tradition to make Pizzelles every year. Pizzelles are little wafer-like cookies that you cook in something that looks like a waffle maker.
Sammi came over to help bake. She's awesomesauce. =)
She also gave me my Christmas pressie early so she could watch me open it. AAAAAah!!!!!!!!
In case you can't read it, they say:
You're the Sam to my Dean and
You're the Dean to my Sam.
Best friennnnnnnnnnds.
Today I cleaned like a mad thing (to welcome Baby Jesus, you know. *grin*) while everyone else finished up the baking.
THEN we made gnocchi. It's tradition. Every year we make gnocchi for Christmas. It's been a thing since ever.
So we blasted some Christmas music and got started!
After that we had dinner (as you do, duh.)
And now it is late. We rehearsed the Mass, we sang carols, and now we're listening to The Great Gildersleeve, and eating chestnuts.
I'm a little sad we couldn't go to Midnight Mass, but there you go. There's something awfully special about staying home on Christmas Eve, eh?
God bless you all, and I hope you have a very, very merry Christmas.
I love you all!
Merry Christmas to you, too! :) :)
ReplyDelete*Grin* How was yours??
DeleteHello!

You too!
Thank you Treskie!
DeleteMerry Christmas, Treskie :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my great aunts used to bring my Maw-maw some Pizzelles around Christmas-time! Maw-maw used to call them "Air" because she thought they tasted like air :D I love 'em! I want to get my own pizzelle maker one of these days....Hope you had an awesome Christmas :)
Merry Christmas, Mary. :D
DeleteOh really? That's so cool! Same here! My great aunt started making them, and she gave the pizzelle maker to mom. That's so cool. lol.
They are kind of like air. Only sweeter. lol.
I did have a wonderful Christmas, thankee. :D How 'bout you??
I really need to remember to click the "Notify me" button, so I can see the follow-up comments! *shaking head*
DeleteSorry I'm just now commenting on some of these :P
That is so funny!
Unfortunately my great aunt's pizzelle maker broke a few years ago...and I don't know if she ever got a new one :/ Maw-maw died 2 years ago, and I haven't really seen my great aunt since then...
My Christmas was great, btw :D
Oh no worries! lol.
DeleteOh. I'm sorry. *hugs*
BUT I think you can get them on amazon if you're really interested. lol.
Good! mine too.
Yep! Now I just need a good excuse to buy one....:D
DeleteOh, it was fun. Looads. XD And definitely delicious.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad everyone likes the TARDIS shirt. So happy! :)
We did, thankee. Did you?
Your Christmas looks so wonderful. I love your decorations. You need to come to my town and show everyone here how it is done. We went to look at lights on Christmas and there weren't very many up, it was sad. No one here was in a very Christmasy mood this year. My family had more decorations up, and we didn't even have many as it was our first year doing any.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I had to remark on your fairy comment....FIGHT THE FAIRIES!!!
Jerk
Haha! We don't even decorate that much. Lights are expensive, so basically it's just garland and pine boughs. XD But aww. you're town doesn't decorate much either, huh? Yeah. Mine either. There's a couple of houses that go all out, but other than that? Meh.
DeleteHehe! I know! It wasn't until after I published the post that I was like, "Oh yeah. Fairy." But... FIGHT THE FAIRIES!!!!!!!!!!! back at you! lol
witch
I love this post. It's so full of joy, and family, and Christmas!! :)
