And then I made a squeaky sound of happiness.

It's weird. I've been gone for a bit and then BOOM! Two posts in two days! This is unheard of  for me.

Well, maybe not unheard of, but extremely rare.

I found out that there is a most frabjously awesome blog party and giveaway at The Golden Road. And when I say.... frabjously awesome, I mean it.

Look at what she's giving away!

How cool is that!?

I really, really want those. So much.

Ahem, anyway. So I'm going to answer the questions from the bloggy party now.

1.) What was your first impression of the Sherlock series?
One of absolute love. My sister brought home the first season and I loved the characters, I loved the atmosphere, and I loved how they  managed to update it without it losing the feel  of Sherlock Holmes.

2.) What is your favourite episode? Why?
Uhhh. That's hard. I like most of them the same... maybe I like The Great Game, The Hounds of the Baskervilles, and The Reichenbach Fall a little, tiny, infinitesimal amount more.

3.) Who is your favourite character? Why? (It's okay if you can't answer because I surely could not. Just try to narrow it down.)
John and Sherlock are the best. Sherlock because, as Lestrade says, "He's a good man" and he is, essentially. And John because he's.... just John. He's loyal, brave, kind, and brings Sherlock down a notch occasionally.
And then Lestrade, Mrs. Hudson, and Molly are equal seconds. :) If you know me at all, you know that I have the hardest time deciding. I'm usually that annoying person who does the whole, "What do you want?" me: "It's up to you. I'm good either way." so yeah. Can't decide between the bestest characters.

4.) What is one of your favourite quotes from the movie?
     "I was a soldier! I killed  people!"
"I always hear 'punch me in the face' when you're speaking, but it's usually subtext."
"Anderson, don't talk out loud. You lower the IQ of the whole street."

5.) Describe the episode The Reichenbach Fall in three words.
     So. Many. Feels.
     or
     So. Many. Tears.
     or.
     JOHN! SHERLOCK! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

     or
     I hate Moriarty.
     or
     Moriarty must die. (oh wait.....)
     or!
     Where's. Series. Three?

6.) Who would you rather be friends with, Sherlock or Watson?
Um... John. Don't get me wrong, I really, really love Sherlock, but John seems more my type. Sherlock is so unaware of the effects his words have.

7.) Which character do you think you are most like? Why?
Hm. My sister says I'm a mix of Molly and the nice side of Sally. (but I can't think of a nice side of Sally. I'll take her word for it. *wink*)

8.) Rank BBC Sherlock amongst your other favourite shows. (How does it compare to other shows you watch? Which do you like better?)
Sherlock is kind of in its own genre. It's not like any detective show I've seen... I have like... five favorite TV shows. I have Sherlock, Doctor Who, Psych, Leverage, and Hogan's Heroes, which are my favorites. But it's hard to rank Sherlock.
     It's just Sherlock, you know?
     It doesn't really rank.
It's one of my five favorites.
     So it's awesome.
     So there!

9.) If you could spend the day with one of the actors from Sherlock, who would it be?
Ugh! Who came up with these questions!? Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman obviously. But then... Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson would be fun too.

10.) What is your absolute favourite scene of the series?

STOP MAKING ME CHOOSE! Sheeesh. Um... let's see. Let's just pick favorite scenes from every episode.
1.) Study in Pink - The scene where Sherlock does his whole spiel about serial killers and how much he loves them... and then he leaves and Watson goes, "DARN my leg--sorry. sorry. I am so sorry."
2.) The Blind Banker - Where Sherlock comes and saves John and Sarah.. "How would you describe me, John? Resourceful? Dynamic? Enigmatic?" and John: "Late?" (I was really impressed with the way Martin Freeman acted the bit where the nasty Chinese woman had the gun to his head. It was realistic. He was so brave.)
3.) The Great Game - Oh you know. The scene at the pool. Duh.

4.) A Scandal in Belgravia - Probably the part where John punches Sherlock and then has him in a choke hold. *grin*

And OH OH OH! The part where Sherlock rescues Mrs. Hudson.
You just don't  hurt Mrs. Hudson.

5.) The Hounds of the Baskervilles - I just loved that whole episode. But the "Thank you for smoking" bit had me in a fit of chuckles.
6.) The Reichenbach Fall - No. Just no. I liked the part where John loses it and is like, "No you're NOT! You're MORIARY! You tried to kill me!" And the whole end sequence, however much I hated it, was brilliantly filmed and acted.

And there you have it. I'd tell you to enter the giveaway, but I know that the more entries there are the less likely I am to win it. So.... don't enter. Haha! Just kidding. Go ahead. No don't! No, really, it's okay. Actually not! Don't! Ah! I'm conflicted.

I know, I know. Creepy. :)

Bye!

  1. LOL, was I supposed to write the answers in a blog post? 'Cause I didn't. I posted mine on her site.

Oh my goodness, yes yes yes! It is an amazing giveaway! I'm crossing everything that will cross that I actually win this time. Please? That's my little prayer, right there. Please?

Good luck, sister of mine. :)

    1. Eeeeeh. I don't know... I'm guessing BBC America? Um. I think it's on netflix though. Just bear in mind that the first episode of the second season has a bunch of crap in it. :D

  3. I love that picture of them filming Watson punching Sherlock. All the others are standing in the background smirking and Martin Freeman looks so serious, like, "I'm REALLY going to kill you!" I read somewhere that he said he wasn't going to pass up the chance to even pretend punching BC. It makes me wonder what BC might have done to make him WANT to punch him.

Oh, I love the pool scene! Sherlock looking so crushed when he thinks Watson was the one killing everyone, then relieved to find out it wasn't him. Then when Watson tries to save his life, and he isn't sure what to think about it.

ACK! I need series three!!!!! Great, now I am impatient for it again. (I was able to keep it at bay by being excited over Rise of the Guardians and The Hobbit - and by bawling my eyes out over Les Miserables. But now there aren't any new movies I'm looking forward too, except for ones still a ways off. Like Tintin...)

And in answer to your comment. Aye, Will Treaty from Ranger's Apprentice. *Grin* And the same with you, I like when he was an apprentice better then the later books, but the later ones were fun still. Just not the same.

Aye, one should be very careful around Percy. Though I think that is part of what makes him so cool. He just appears so clueless and harmless, then...he will wallop you with a giant wave of water and leave you floundering while he walks off with his hands in his pockets. Do not mess with him..or Annabeth!
Hurray for getting Bella to read them! Aye, a lot of love for one fellow, he and Howl have that in common at least.

    1. Hahah, I SAW that interview, where Martin said that. :D I wondered the same thing. lol.

The pool scene.... the minute Moriarty walked out and was like, "Hiiieee!" I blurted out really loudly, "THE GAY GUY!?" and shocked my mother. Hahaha.

Grrrrr. I can't believe they extended it until March of 2014 to release the next series. What's wrong with these people!? Don't they know the fandom is screaming for mercy? lol

Oh cool. I'm not the only one then. I just thought that the series should have ended after book three or four... because the series is called "Ranger's Apprentice" hmmmm. :D

Percy is just freaking awesome. lol. Did you ever watch the movie? What did you think? I wish they hadn't made it so dirty. Grrrr.

  7. I've never seen it before (don't hate me!) but it sounds so good and I've always meant to start it eventually! :) I've just been so busy and I have this problem where if I end up loving it, I won't be able to stop watching and I'll just ignore all my other work. This has happened too many times before, (*cough* Pretty Little Liars). :P I will start watching after I finish my huge bio paper! Promise :)

    1. lol I don't hate you. :D It is, really, really good. John is so much cooler in this than he is in the books. :D And they take ideas from the books a lot of the time, like A Study in Pink... is loosely based off a Study in Scarlet. :D

Unfortunately there are only three episodes per season, which totals six episodes now. :( On an upnote you could watch them all in a week and not feel guilty! :D

Cool though! Let me know what you think, kay?!
