Picture Saturday: For the Win.

"Let's get down to business!" Treskie sings to herself, "And work on....: The blog!"

And that is as far as her paraphrasing is going, because she needs to be brief, be blunt, and begone. (Down to a game night at the neighbors..... to socialize. )

Actually, I quite love the people we're going to socialize with. I just wish
it could be.... earlier. YA KNOW?
Also, I borrowed ^^^^ those movies from my friends, and I am going to
watch them soon, and remedy my uncultured swine-i-ness.

Soooo. This week, I was much better about drawing.

This week, I was an awesome big sister too. *dances* I am not tooting my own horn. I am stating facts. SO THERE. I'm just awesome, that's all there is to it.

Le Picture Number One.

We have Howl and Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle. (A book, I totally recommend, by the way.) I love them together. =)

Le Picture Number Two.

The little guy doing monkey bars, because who doesn't like monkey bars? (And also because I've been hanging out at parks a lot lately.)

Le Picture Number Three.

The one that encompasses my entire view of mornings.

Le Picture Number Four.

The fairy. 'Nuff said.

Le Picture Number Five.

The dragon sketch I did today at the park. I need to flesh it out and shade it, so this is just the outline.

I will admit, since starting Merlin, every time I think dragon, I feel
the urge to say, "Aaaah DRAGOOON." like Merlin does.
And that concludes the art show for today.

Do join me again next week.

FIGHT THE FAIRIES!

The Frenchiest Fry

So you've never seen Star Wars? Or am I confusing it with something else?

    1. Glad I'm not the only one. :) BUT YESSSS. DRAGOOON.
We just watched the one with the Changeling that Arthur is supposed to marry. It's goooood.

Aaaaaaaaand thank you!!!!! Fairies are my favorite. And that coffee made me sooooooooooo happy. XD

Nope. I want to though. I feel silly not having seen it, like it degrades from my geekiness. XD

  3. Yay! You're watching Merlin! *dances and claps with glee* I love that show. :) How far are you?

I started Leverage a little while back and I'm LOVING it. The characters are all so great that I'm having a hard time narrowing down favorites!

Oh, and now I must read Howl's Moving Castle. Your drawing and the accompanying quote has convinced me. :)

    1. I am, I am! Finally! I'm about halfway through season 3. Arthur is such a cutie sweetie baby. :)

AAAAAAAAAH Leverage is such awesome. S'riously. How far are you in THAT? I like Elliot. And then Parker and Hardison. (those too equally. :)

oh yes you must. It's delightful. It's so good, and Howl's such a little turdy loveable man.

    2. That Pendragon boy is adorable! Merlin's certainly right about about Arthur's pratish-ness, but the character development that he goes through during the show is awesome.

I just started season 3. :) Yep. I'm torn between those three. Parker cracks me up all the time and I love her to death. Hardison's geekyness is super attractive (I squealed when he made his first Doctor Who reference) and I think that he and Parker are so cute together - I'm SO hoping that they become a couple! And during Elliot's epic fight scenes I just about swoon over him (plus, his face has such a teddy-bear sweetness about it!). Oh, and I usually can't stand long hair on guys (example: Sam's hair in seasons 1 and 2 of Supernatural is ok, but after that it's a little ridiculous. If he hadn't already carved out a gigantic, aching place of love in my heart I might have been forced to disown him.), but for some reason it's never bothered me with Elliot. Anyway, yeah, I love 'em all.

I'm getting ready to order a copy right now. :)

    3. I love character development. I think it's one of the best things in entertainment. Most of my favorite shows have epic character development. Arthur is already way better in the 3rd season than he was in the 1st, and he's way nicer to Merlin than his dad is to HIS servants.

Aaaaaaah, s3 has the one with Eliot singing! (that's the same episode with Jo from SPN.) Parker is so cute and silly. She's naive with some things, and it's awesome.
The first time we watched Leverage, we hadn't watched Doctor Who yet, so we didn't get his DW reference, we got all his Star Trek ones... and then rewatching it, we were like, "HE'S A WHOVIAN." and it made our figurative days. lol.
Parker and Hardison are awfully cute together. I love how he's so gentle around her.

Eliot's fightiness was what originally drew me to his character, because I like the nice tough guys. (Can you imagine Eliot as a hunter on SPN? He and Dean would try do outdo each other with deep gravelly voices. It needs to happen.)
Yeah, Eliot's hair doesn't bother me too much. I think he wears it better than Sam, but in S5, he gets it cut and it's sooooooooooo attractive shorter. lol.
The guy who plays Eliot is young Uncle Hub in Second Hand Lions.

Let me know what you think of it!

  8. Heeeeey Treskie!

Remember be? I am officially BACK in the blogosphere! I even posted! Honest!! ~puffs up proudly~

Anyway, so lovely to read one of your posts again. I love that first one, it looks very sweet and natural. I've not read Howl's Moving Castle but maybe I will. I remember reading some Diana Wynne Jones and it was good - weird as, but good.

  9. Did you survive your social outing? I hope you did, because death by oversocialization (is that even a word?) would be dreadful. However, I must admit that, on occasion, social outings can be enjoyable, especially if food is involved. If you are alive, please let me know via comment. If you happen to be dead, a response would also be appreciated.

Ooh, I'm gonna go look up that book! I always enjoy the books you recommend. That fan art is awesome!

Monkey bars are the best. 'Nuff said.

Aah the fairy is so prettyyyyyy! Supernatural posts have infiltrated my mind. The first thing I thought when I saw that was ," FIGHT THE FAIRIES!!!!!"

Wow, that's an awesome dragon! After you flesh it out, can you put it on Pinterest so that your dedicated followers can see the finished product, pwetty pwease?

That coffee picture is perfect. People who are naturally perky and friendly in the mornings frighten me.

    Cheers!

    1. I did survive the social outing. It wasn't as bad as I was anticipating, and that's always jolly. lol. There was food! Cookies, mostly. Cookies are the best food.

Awwwwww. Ye,s you really should read that book, because it's freaking awesome. Howl is so infuriatingly impossible.

      Monkey bars are epic.

Aaaaaaah YOU FIGHT THOSE FAIRIES! I'm sorry the SPN posts have infiltrated your mind. (if you want to watch the fight the fairies bit, here's the linky. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nVG5mn4YKM it's hilarious. Dean's being followed by a fairy that scares him, and it gets worse from there. The actual F T F part isn't until the end... XD) THANK YOU THOUGH.

I can put the dragon on pinterest, yes indeed. XD I'll send it to you when it's done.

Aww thanks. lol. I can't stand perky morning people. It's like, "go away and let me be cranky. I'll be human in about an hour. Now go away."

      Cheers!
