Picture Sunday || September {2}

Well hello!

Yes, yes, I'm late.

We know.

But I had a choice last night, to either do a blog post, or listen to Phantom of the Opera with someone who's never heard it before... Guess which one I chose?

I'm starting to feel like my blog needs an update again. I think it's just going to end up changing about once a year because yours truly has a very limited attention span and I get bored quickly.

Maybe New Years will bring a new design. YOU NEVER KNOW.

I'm considering chopping off my hair. This frightens me. But I want to! But I'm not much into change. It's very complicated, see.

Anyway! I actually drew this week, ladies and gents! (I know, crazy, right?) So buckle up, we have fanarts. Lots of fanarts.

1.) So first of all, look at this poofy Baymax and Hiro. (I've been in the mood to watch that movie again. I just love it so much.)

Next time I need to make Hiro's hair darker, but other than that, I'm pretty happy with this one. Because BAYMAX IS A GIANT MARSHMALLOW OF LOVE AND HUGS AND HAPPINESS.

2.) Ehem... I've been feeling particularly sappy lately, so deal with it.

3.) Attempted Briar Rose. (Which I always thought was a prettier name than Aurora, just saying.) Not 100% satisfied with how it turned out, but that aside I guess it's okay? I DON'T KNOW!

4.) So the Phantom really is a sad potato, and let me just say: Wow, Dave Willetts is one of the best Phantoms I've ever heard like sweet heavenly mercy me he is GOOD.

I'm thinking I might do a timelapse video of the coloring process on this one, with better lighting and a tripod. What do you guys think? Yes, no, maybe?

5.) Speaking of musicals, look at this completed one from last time!

6.) And there's this part in the musical where Sam's trying to get Molly to notice him and he says this line about, "I’m with you right beside you, I need you to believe it... Don’t stop now, you can feel me inside you-- don’t loose me in the rain!" And call me crazy, THAT LINE IS SUPER SAD.

7.) Sometimes I don't even know why I draw stuff. But here, look at this nerdy-looking girl holding a sword because that's going to turn out so well....

8.) Look, I drew a more detailed picture of Tyler. Tyler is the oldest of Tristan and Gang, and he's been through a lot. He's always tired, he's pretty humorless and sometimes he feels the greatest of needs to punch Tristan in his perfect face. I love him so much.

9.) Also, I drew Piero for Kat because his voice is gorgeous.

10.) So... There's a very real possibility that I may have binged Voltron: Legendary Defender on netflix, because... Because... It's literally like Zuko and Sokka from ATLA...in space. And... I... like it.

11.) THIS IS THE ZUKO CHARACTER. His name is Keith. He is awesome. We like him. *sips water*

12.) He has this cool spacey sword and he does ninja-like things with it and I approve. It has the Treskie Stamp of Approval. (Because... that's a thing. DO NOT DOUBT ME.) Please send help.

Yeeeep.

Alright, people!

Question Time!
Favorite overall?
Best fanart?
Favorite with color?
Best black and white?
What would you like to see more of on this blog? Fanart? Tristan and Co? Originals? Let me know!

I love you all!

Picture Saturday-- April.2

Oh you guys...!

I just discovered toned paper.... AND.... IT IS THE MOST  GLORIOUS OF ALL THE INVENTIONS.

It is golden. It is wonderful.

Toned paper is life.

So this week's drawings are predominately on toned paper, because TONED PAPER IS LIFE.

1.) First of all, here: I drew a dance, because even though I dance with the agility of a hammer, I really like it.

2.) More dance.... *Whistles forties music*

3.) All dis hair.

4.) Toned paper.......!!

5.) TONED PAPER.....!

6.) BROWN TONED PAPER. (This was actually my first attempt, but whatever, she looks like the girl from the Hillywood Show.)

7.) GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY.

8.) I freaking love this stuff, it is amazing.

9.) It thrills me. So it had to be paired with someone who thrills me, and so... Gianluca.

10.) Also, Piero.

11.) I don't even know, guys. Toned paper has a way of making even just average art look good. And it's really really addictive....

Yeah.... I'm not a weirdo at all.

There are burnt cookies in the oven, and we just finished watching the third Ip Man movie and I'm on a little bit of a high, because seriously.... Ip Man is SO GOOD. All three of the movies! So good, so martial arty, so... deliciously violent.

What? Sometimes you just need a little violence in your life.

Ehm. It's awesome.

Anyway, question time!
Favorite overall?
Favorite toned paper?
Favorite colored?
Have you seen Ip Man?
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MY TONED PAPER?

Alrighty all! I love you guys!

Picture Saturday--Randomly Rapunzel

I spend most of this week being angry at my sketchbook.

And that started because I finished my nice sketchbook, and didn't realize I had come to the end of it until I turned the page and there were.... no more pages.

HORROR.

And between this, that, and the other, I was not able to get to an art store to get a nice sketchbook for about a week, which means I had to use my spare.

The spare is a cheap little thing with low quality paper.

I didn't realize how much nice paper meant to me until I was reduced to using not nice paper. I didn't want to draw on that paper! I didn't like that paper! It was too smooth! It was too shiny! It was like computer paper with gloss!

So every time I went to draw, I just got angry.

Not irritated, not frustrated.

Angry.

I think.... I think I might need help.

It's at times like this where I'm like, "Ooooooh, that's why I'm forever alone!"

I got a new sketchbook this morning, and was so happy, I drew all day. 'Cause.... reasons.

Right, let's go.

1.) One of those late night I-don't-even-care doodles that turned out way better than I meant it to.

2.) In Disneyland there was an appalling lack of Tangled memorabilia, and I guess it bothered me? (How on earth can I have 72 markers and not have the right color for her dress..... what is life?)

3.) The oh-my-gosh-I-hate-this-sketchbook. Seriously. It threw off my groove.

4.) I figured out that Tristan's bad guy has a metal hand. I'm sure there's a really important reason for him to have a weird metal hand, but he has yet to divulge that information to me.

5.) Kate with her perfect hair.....

6.) Really quick Stitch, 'cause Stitch is cute, in a creepy sort of way.

7.) Stitch prompted this, even though... I watched both Lilo and Stitch movies and Angel has yet to appear. Am I missing something?

8.) I totally drew Chloe and Toink sharing the jacket, because that crap was CUTE.

9.) Oh hai, Piero.

10.) Le colored Tristan kissing Kate, because I didn't want to draw in the sketchbook that sucked.

11.) The one where she's totally disproportionate, but she has such passion, I don't even care.

Aaaaand I-eee-Iiiiii! Will aaaaaalwayssss LOOOVE youuuuu!

12.) *Aggressively obsesses.*

Oh my, my, myyyyyy Delilah! Why, why, WHYYYY Delilah!

13.) Sudden! Urge! To draw Rapunzel!

14.) Oh oh oh! What about FLYNN!?

15.) What if.... I drew them.... together.. (Yeah, his head is on wrong, BUT WHATEVER, IT'S PRETTY.)

Aaaand that's all I've got this week, ladies. (And gents? Are there gents following me?)

Question time!
Favorite colored?
Black and white?
Favorite fanart?
Best gif usage?

Love you all!

Picture Saturday {Febuary}

So it's technically Friday.

But it's late and it's practically Saturday, so I'm going to post this tonight because I'm going to be running around screaming tomorrow because reasons.

Speaking of this weekend, it's Valentine's Day on Sunday, and so Amy and I recorded Can't Help Falling In Love as a tribute to.... I dunno. Love? Anyway, here it is. Let me know what you think, yeah?

A friend asked me how it was going at the flower shop this week..... I sent her this picture.

It's actually less frantic than last year, which I'm super grateful for, but it's still the mad rush of guys going, "Valentine's Day is when!?"

This is currently what our walk-in cooler looks like at the shop. (Amy is for size comparison.)

So fun, so fun.

This Picture Saturday is going to be an odd assortment, because this week has made me feel gooey and romantic, and irritated and sad at the same time. (Gooey and romantic because love is in the air, and irritated and sad becaus love is in the freaking air all the time.)

1.) Here, have an Italian lady... sleeping? I don't know, but she's pretty.

2.) Sometimes I think I should draw Kate with her hair down, and then I think "mmmm better not."

3.) Random guy who looks like someone and I can't place it. But I know he looks like someone....

4.) Le me during Valentine's week.

5.) I drew Ignazio from memory on a piece of scrap paper (in pen, no less!) and thought he turned out pretty good. I want to retry with a reference picture.

6.) Le me: I wonder if I can draw Piero..... Oh look it actually looks like him. Better leave it unfinished.

7.) Le me: Contemplates drawing Gianluca.
Le me: Better not attempt. Draw Tristan and Kate doing something romantic. Like shooting stuff together.

8.) People: You're so funny and pretty and smart, why are you still single?

me:

9.) Le me: Oh oh, Tristan should tell Kate that he loves her when they're in the middle of a shoot-out. That's so him!

Yep, that is a coffee stain on the left. I had it on my hand, and I rubbed the paper and it was sad.

10.) Le me: Contemplates drawing Gianluca some more.
Le me: Mmmm. No. Draw Tristan making Kate stop yelling by planting one on her.

11.) Le me: Abort! Abort! Too much love.

Literally me this whole week.

12.) Le me: Contemplates drawing Gianluca.
Le me: Pssshhh you'd have better luck with a terrible self-portrait.
Le me: Apparently I look up and to the left a lot.

13.) Le me: Gianluuuuuuca.

And I need to stop.... Like seriously.

There's this song called Big Deal by Leann Rimes, and it goes,

Don't wanna hear another word about candlelight,
and long-stemmed roses,
or how you're falling head-over-heels in love.
So what?
Big deal!

And I can relate to it. Ha!

Okay lovelies, question time!

Favorite drawing?
What are you doing for Valentine's Day?
 What's your favorite love song?
What did you think of our cover?

I love you all! And happy, early, Valentine's Day!
